The Western Rising of 1549

A very informative book providing insight into the events of 1549.

Details events that I had no previous knowledge of. Author's written style fluid and indication of much thought on the events described. Author has rescued from oblivion thoughts and feelings of the people of the time. A great read.

What was the point of retaining the archaic language and spelling of so many documents?? In the end I found it too irritating to complete the book which also belaboured many a point so that any narrative flow was practically destroyed.
