I’ve been buying slippery elm for some time now and it has really helped me to calm my stomach issues. It’s calming and soothing. Sometimes I sniff a little up my nose when I have sinusitis and it clears my sinuses. I think it’s good quality and forms a gel as described. It tastes earthy which I don’t particularly like. I would recommend this.

I have bought slippery elm many times over plus minus 15 years. I have never come across anything like this product. I don't know what it is, but it definitely doesn't have the same mucilage as any of the other powders I have bought before. It doesn't have the same soothing effect down my throat when I drink it. It doesn't have the same effect on my stomach either. It actually separates when mixing, whether using cold or warm water. The powder sits at the bottom of the glass and the water turns a reddish brown colour. There is no slip after mixing it at all. Wasted my money. I would not recommend it to anyone, coz I'm not sure what it actually is. The one star I gave is one too many.

The powder is fine and easy to mix into a little paste with your preferred liquid prior to making into a soothing drink. It comes with a handy measuring spoon inside the pack. Full of flavour and does the job. A very good product. Would recommend.

Not sure this is the real deal… Have been looking for slippery elm powder to mar a gel for my kitty with tummy troubles. This seemed to have good reviews, however I am doubtful this is the product as stated on the packaging. No matter how I mix and heat it, it does not form a gel. I have tried all the methods and recipes available (changing mix quantities etc, and no matter what, this just will not form a gel! This would suggest it is perhaps the outer, not the inner bark. This is very disappointing as this was one of the more expensive options! If anyone finds a slippery elm that actually forms a gel, please let me know! Update: After leaving this review the company reached out and were extremely helpful and supportive, so 5 stars for that. It really did mean a lot.

I am taking this Slippery Elm Powder for my silent reflux and am gradually feeling the positive difference in my digestion. It’s early days but since making a drink with it at night before bed and in the morning before breakfast it’s certainly helping me and will continue til it’s empty. Although expensive if it helps with one’s health it’s worth it. I add a touch of cinnamon to it which gives a mild acceptable flavour to the palate

This product is defective and low quality. It fails to thicken into a mucilage gel when mixed with water, which is the primary purpose of slippery elm bark. Furthermore, it has a gritty, sandy texture that makes it unusable and unpleasant for consumption. For nearly £30, this is unacceptable quality. Please do not buy waste of money.

like the root, not sure about the leaves. I don't mind the taste of the root, the leaf is not as good, makes it very bitter
