West Bend Stir Crazy Movie Theater Popcorn Popper, Popcorn Maker Machine with Nonstick Popcorn Kettle, Measuring Tool and Popcorn Scoop for Popcorn Machine, 4 Qt., Red

I bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law. It's well made and produces genuine movie-style popcorn. The only downsides are you need to take some care in regularly cleaning it thoroughly and putting it back together. It is also not "cinema"-sized. It is great for a party or small event. However, you will need to keep refilling it as the popcorn will be eaten up fast.

The popcorn is made yummy. Nice addition to our movie theatre room. Small. Not too big. The quality of popcorn is great.

This popcorn maker is so fun to use. While the popcorn is making a popcorn light lights up it came mostly assembled. Just had to put the small parts together. It looks nice so we leave it out on the counter. The noise level is not unbearable. It is made of good quality materials and the kernel pop is great. I think we had two colonels in the machine after all of the popcorn was popped and it has a kernel catcher in the bottom of the machine

This item was a hit, the family loved it, easy functionality, and fits well in the space. Great purchase.

I love popcorn. I prefer movie theater popcorn so i make my own. This is the third popcorn popper that i have tried. The first one broke after a few months. The second one was trash because it was a bad design and no matter how hard I tried, the heating coils would get the popcorn oil on it. I have to say the other two were not West Bend models. They were, however, pretty big name brands. I have always wanted the popper that looks like the ones at the movie theaters but not so bulky. I am so glad I found this one. The price was right and the size is perfect. I do purchase the butter popping oil and the popcorn salt to make sure tis exactly like the popcorn you can get at the theaters. A few weeks ago I had some guest in from out of town and I fired up my West Bend popcorn maker and they were all excited and impressed. Needless to say they were all on Amazon ordering their own West Bend popcorn maker. It is easy to use and my favorite part is- easier to clean. It makes the perfect amount of popcorn so everyone can have some and none goes to waste, I highly recommend splurging on the good popcorn butter oil and good popcorn salt and a good brand of popcorn kernels. If you want that traditional movie theater experience then splurge a little on your popcorn seed and the oil.

It’s really nice!!! It’s a great product if ur a pop corn lover like me but HAAAATE spending the price for that movie theater popcorn, it really does taste just like movie theater popcorn corn, THE CON!!! The con is that hot bowl thing inside is a B**ch to get the popcorn out after it’s done popping so u can put it back but honestly th good outweighs the the bad and I’m VERY happy with my purchase, it’s also space saving mine is sitting on my small portable dishwasher cause I live in a smaller apartment and the sound isn’t as bad as u would think!!! My sensory sound sensitive autistic daughter stood there without her noise canceling headphones, now my daughter can handle some noises so if ur kid can’t handle music on a normal level I wouldn’t take this comment and try is around ur kiddo!!! But yes overall I’m happy one full batch in this popcorn machine can feed 18 people a serving and u can go and make another batch immediately if needed!!! Cleaning it is also easier than I thought it would be!!! It is cheaply made tho and if ur not careful the door can pop open so STAND THERE while it pops as u HAVE to turn it off after the pop corn stops popping like a microwave!!! It’s definitely a nice penny pinching price cause I do be penny pinching!!!!

I've had 3 compact popcorn machines prior to this 4th one and I had a 1/4 size of the full size movie theater one, same ones you find at a 7-eleven stores. Being this is the 4th, this was also second the the cheapest qualities I've used. I know about sizes but this was the smallest one where you can actually get burned because not much space from kettle to the inside where your popcorn is at. Second, out of all 4 compact poppers, this had the least power, thereby resulting in hard popcorn, when compared with popping to other machines that had above 500W they performed crunchy popcorn. Keep that in mind when buying, look for quality parts, stainless steel, and at least above 600watts, spacing is important and also having 3 switches if you can find under $100. Most are above, one for warming/light, 2nd for stirring, and 3rd switch for heating the kettle. I find it hard to recommend this after having a total of 5 popcorn machines...

It looks Great, and for the price is great value. I was excited to try it out, here’s the drawback, it must have a 110/60Hz/480VA supply, so I’ll have to wait for Amazon to deliver it at an additional cost of £35. Maybe I’ll write an update when I can plug it in and test it thoroughly. Update, transformer arrived on Schedule, and set it up for a test run yesterday evening. I added two tbsp of Ghee (clarified butter) and 1/2tsp of Flavorcol, 1/4tsp of butter salt spice. And switched it on. It functioned as advertised and the POPCORN LED banner illuminated (looked great) After two or three minutes, continuous popping could be heard and was forcing its way out of the kettle into the cabinet. Once I heard a two, three second gap in popping I switched off the machine. I emptied the kettle as instructed and most popcorn fell into the cabinet. You will have to use the scoop to push out rest of the popcorn. Tried it and tasted as expected, you can add more flavouring at this stage to your personal liking. Mix well in the cabinet or a large serving bowl and enjoy. It made my evening. Pro’s - didn’t burn in the slightest, colour great, tasted great, nice crunch and un- popped kernels drop into a catch trap.—

Warum kann man nicht einfach darauf aufmerksam machen, dass es ein US-Stecker ist der mitgeliefert wird. Man hätte ja gleich einen passenden Stecker dazu bestellen können. Keine Ahnung ob die Maschine gut ist. Kann sie nicht probieren. Nachdem der Stecker da war, haben wir uns auf das Popcorn gefreut. Stecker in die Dose und los geht es. Doch plötzlich kam Qualm aus dem Topf. Ich habe den Deckel angehoben und eine Stichflamme schoss mir entgegen. Nachdem ich mir die Bedienungsanleitung nochmal genauer angesehen habe, habe ich gesehen, dass die Maschine für 120 V ausgelegt ist.

Not suitable for use in the uk seems to be a maximum output heating system which means uk voltage just burns and smokes due to it being higher than in the USA. Unfair to judge beyond that as it looked very good

Muy practica y de buen tamaño, funciona muy bien, muy facil de armar y ponerla a funcionar, hace las palomitas muy bien, en su punto exacto

This is a family farvite my boys absolutely love it..it always gets used easy to clean as well. Only thing to watch out for, was the Customs durty I got charged months after. From FedEx Ground. Was not swear of such charge was going to take place. So that was abit of a surprise and extra money spent. But overall still a very great product to have .
