Delicious
Unbelievably great! I've been a vegetarian for 25 years and the only meat I've craved is tuna. Fake tunas have always disappointed but not this one! This one was heavenly! I couldn't wait to buy more! I even sent some to my best friend who agreed it was "to die for"! The nutrition numbers are crazy good too! Love!

Excellent tuna substitute
This fishless tuna makes a very good "tuna" casserole and is a great treat for those of us who don't eat fish. Please note that this does not taste like real tuna but is a very good substitute in recipes that call for tuna. I have bought this many times and will continue to purchase more.

I do like it and the small can
I used to buy the frozen tuno in a tub but about 10 years ago the store closed. That was fantastic so I couldn't give this 5 stars but by the time I added JUST Mayo and a guality pickle relish, I loved it. However, I don't think I could pass it off to my non vegetarians in a "tuna" pasta salad like I could with the frozen "tuna." I think I will try the canned Tuno next.

Finally, a fishless tuna!
Great to have a tuna substitute with great flavor and consistency! As a long time vegetarian, this is an awesome addition to my diet.

Vegetarian Tuna
A long time ago there was a product called Tu-no. It was great and I had to keep checking to make sure it wasn't really tuna I was eating. I had high hopes for this product at Loma Linda has been producing Vegetarian items for a long time. I started out on their products. This Fishless Tuna is not very similar to the tuna fish I ate over 40 years ago and nothing like the Tu-no product. I will keep trying as I really did like to have that as an option.

Closest tuna replacement I've found!
Seafood is probably the most difficult animal product to replicate. Every once in a while my husband and I would crave a tuna salad sandwich, and we had found Sophie's Vegan Toona in our local co-op. It wasn't that close to tuna, but sort of did the job. I took a chance on the Loma Linda stuff (which I can't find locally) and am SO impressed. The texture and smell are MUCH more realistic. Like any vegetarian version of just about anything, of course you can tell the difference, but this gets pretty close. The 'meat' does take on quite a bit of the water, so I would recommend carefully draining (perhaps in a mesh strainer) before using as my first attempt at tuna salad was very runny. The can wasn't particularly full and did seem to have a large volume of fluid, so this is definitely expensive for what you get (as are most seafood replacement options).
