I have only used it once, but it is perfect, in my opinion. I had a frozen asparagus and pasta package from TJoes in the freezer, put the contents into the pot, covered, into microwave 4 minutes. I took it out USING 1 HAND ON each of the 2 HANDLES, set it on the counter, then gently pulled up slightly on the center knob on the lid. This created steam release from the tiny hole on top, which unsealed the lid and it opened perfectly. I stirred contents gently, added 2 TBSP of water, put the lid back on and zapped for another 2 minutes. VOILA. Perfect. I WOULD CHANGE: maybe don't add water, ,because I think the excellent seal of the lid keeps moisture from escaping. Just remember to pull up gently on the top to start releasing steam. You'll feel the pressure equalize, and will then know it's ok to open the lid. TIP: silicone is floppy and bendable. You need TWO hands to hold the handles when moving the hot item out of the microwave. MORE TIPS: - POUR from this silicone steamer easily by just lifting the pot with 2 hands, then bringing the handles somewhat close together to form a sort of pour-spout. It's genius. It's easy. - WASH this out with cool or tepid water and a tiny bit of soap. Never have I ever had such an easy clean-up. - RV perfect since the BAKERPAN silicone cookware is light, collapsible. I just ordered the set of 4 smaller bowls for doing eggs in the Microwave.

BEST Veggie Steamer I've ever had!!! I can steam a pound of trimmed BROCCOLI or other Veggies in this pot in 5 mins or less in only 2 T water. Beautifully designed, collapsible for storage, easy to toss in dishwasher! The base is a useable Bowl on its own. Highly recommend.

I cook some roast beef in the oven, it came out tender, juicy, I even made the gravy, it's nice it can go in the oven or microwave.....and it collapse!! Great product!!!

I love these silicone cookware. I ordered the large purple one a year ago and I use it daily. Just this month I ordered the smaller colorful ones. They are perfect for meal prepping and portion control. I food prep my weight watchers points every four days with these containers. They hold about 2 cups cooked rice, oats, pasta or similar grains. I use the larger purple pot for prepping family meals. They are sturdy yet foldable for storage. They are microwavable. They can NOT be put on a stovetop, grill, burner or any direct heat. I hope they come out with more colors and styles. These are my favorite Amazon products. Highly recommend!!!!!

This has a 1/2 gal. (64 oz.) liquid capacity, it it is great for food that needs a larger capacity. It is very substantial and not at all "flimsy". I love the handles which facilitate easy carrying and removal from the microwave. Cleaning is very easy. I never use pan spray or oil in the container, even though some recipes call for that. Would definitely recommend to friends & family that which to get rid of the plastic microwave cookware. Pot & lid are both silicon. I wish they made a complete set the same quality as this container in more sizes!

Absolutely, love this.!!!!! It is so nice and so versatile. I use it for way more than just steaming my vegetables. It is just a great microwave PAN. Would absolutely buy this again.

This steamer, while an excellent size and capacity, is not easy to handle. When it is filled with food to be steamed in the microwave, it must be carefully handled in order not to dump the food onto the floor. I have had an ORKA steamer for years and I use it weekly. I wanted this one to be a bigger version of my ORKA. I am so disappointed and I know now that Bakerpan is not the same quality and usefullness as ORKA. I had enough trouble getting it into the microwave once it was ready to steam. God forbid it should have done the same collapsing trick when it was fully of hot food.
