Farm Cottage Brands 177 4.5mm Airgun Air Rifle Pistol Bore cleaning snake/pull through- ready to use, it has no copper brush inside (24009)

These work exceptionally well through .177 air rifles and they do the job expected of them I’ve used one on my Airgun for nearly a year now and although it’s still good to go I’ve ordered a couple more to put one in each gun bag of my other guns. There is a review that suggests that the lead part of the pull through is to long to get into magazine fed guns, this is true but so very easily taken care of, all you do is measure the amount you need to keep for inserting into breach without problems and then hold with pliers or put in vice and use a hacksaw to take off excess that’s not needed then file down the front edge back to smooth that’s going down the barrel first, couldn’t be more simple if you tried and you have the perfect fit. If you have to cut back the lead to a very small measurement it will still go through the barrel with gentle feeding l have had to do this before myself for one of my guns. I can thoroughly recommend this product and Cottage farm brands.

I was a little worried as I have had issues in the past with items that work with .177 barrels, but this worked a charm. No need to remove the copper brush as it’s removed by design so works well in my air rifle and pistol. So far from use I can see/feel no signs of weakness or potential failure and will continue to use this as part of my maintenance schedule. I much prefer to use this opposed to a rod, as they don’t need heavy scraping and only a quick clean/protection now and again.

Crimped lead in is too long to allow usage in any magazine fed pcp air rifle. Negates entire point of having a pull through boresnake as it needs to feed from breech end of rifle.

Seems to do the job. Quick and easy.
