Only buy genuine Cape Picture Framing Mounts. If the seller name is not "Cape Picture Framing" then the mounts you receive will not have been cut by us, and may not meet our specifications and/or stringent quality control. MountsWe cut all of our mounts to order to ensure fresh, clean cut edges. These are not picture frames, they are picture frame inserts. The whitecore mountboard we use is Conservation Grade, acid-free throughout, 1400 microns thick, meets the standard for preservation framing as defined by the FATG.SizesThe imperial sizes in the title are "nominal sizes", the industry still talks in inches! The exact cut size is detailed in the bullet-points at the top of the page.Ensure that you are buying the correct size to fit your frames and pictures. You should take measurements yourself, ignoring any labels. The outer size of the mount should be the same as the glass in your frame. The inner edge should be a little smaller than the picture, approx. 3mm or 4mm on all sides, so 6mm/8mm smaller overall.Backing BoardsBacking boards are separate pieces of card the same outer size as the mounts, cut from white coloured Conservation Grade board, and will not be joined or hinged to the mount in any way.AssemblyThe picture, photo, or print should be taped to the rear of the mount behind the cut-out (aperture) using self-adhesive tape (not supplied).PackagingWe promise to deliver you mounts in pristine condition. If your order is damaged in transit, please take photos of the damage and send them to us through the email service. We will send replacements free of charge. We use recyclable packaging materials wherever possible. If you have any questions about any of our products please feel free to contact us on 0800 852 7040, or visit our web site www.capepictureframing.co.uk

DOUBLE EDGED SWORD
So - over all it is great! love the quality and how well it was safely packaged. Now the debate I am having with myself...It is for an A3 picture - great - you can see the whole A3 picture in the space provided...... .BUT... BIG BUTTTT.... there is very little to none overlap, so basically if you want to mount it, you MUST make sure your back mounting board is like 3 cm at least bigger than your picture, so you have some overlap with the frame!I didnt know this and bought by mounting boards before these frames, so had like less than 5 mm on each side to overlap - needless to say I saved it with just lots of white ducktape :)

Poorly measured and cut
Very poorly cut, you can't advertise a frame suitable for a 16 x 12 picture when you cut the frame over 16inch it leaves a gap my frames arrived cut 16.5inches, so pictures have a gap to one side very poor service, would not recommend.

exact size of internal aperture. to mount A3 this must measure less thanA3 by at least 1cm allround.
the mounts are perfect except that the internal rectangle is about 1cm too large to accept an A3 painting or photo. Mounting gives only about 1mm overlap which is difficult to achieve and once mounted is insecure. one needs at least 1 cm overlap of picture over aperture.

Look good
Haven’t used them yet as not had time to do anything relaxing for months and months. They look good quality though.

Didn't quite fit
Good white and decent quality but sadly had to trim them to fit 20x16 frame by about half a cm.

It is not even all the way around. 2 ...
It is not even all the way around. 2 sides are thicker than the opposite other 2 sides. I had to trim every one to even out!! I would give it no stars if I could.
