Effective LiFePO4 battery that’s lightweight with the stated power and it holds a charge well.
This 12V, 20Ah LiFePO4 Battery by KEPWORTH, is a very nice choice if you need a small lightweight lithium battery, for many 12V needs. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – It feels like average quality materials putting it in the middle-level of the quality scale, but I haven’t opened it up to see the cells. Given the overall quality of the materials, I’d guess you should get a decent level of longevity out of this product, but that’s hard to say without seeing the inside materials.II. Performance – It works great so far, with an output that seem consistent with the stated capacity. It charger effectively and takes about the typical amount of time for this type of battery. It’s also very lightweight, which makes it easy to pack along if needed to a camp site or on a ride. These have worked well as a low capacity solar power bank, when you connect multiple batteries together, you can get a decent amount of power. At 20Ah you can actually run smaller electronics for quite a while, with even just one.Overall, this has been a great lithium battery for a mid-level quality choice. It’s performed as well as any others I have. I’m guessing that it won’t last as long as a higher quality option, but we’ll have to see. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see a visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

20 amp hour lipo
As soon as I seen the 20 amp hour lipo for a very decent price I sweep it up. This thing is great and has tons of amp hours. The package arrived on time and well packaged with no damage to the box or anything and pretty much the only thing in the Box was just the battery. It seems to be constructed a pretty good materials and is pretty much on par with almost all of the LiPO batteries that I've had before. As of right now I have a 7 amp hour lipo, 3 - 15 amp hour lipos, I'm 18 hour lipo, and now there's 20 amp hour one. I do all kinds of different projects with these things like battery boxes for kayak, on the go powered battery boxes for my radio equipment, use them for backup power for computers, and they also good for doing solar projects. Overall I highly recommend this one for the price paid I think this is a super great option because it's not that much bigger than the 10 and 7 amp hour ones but you're getting almost about double of the run time period overall I highly recommend it

Good LiFePO4 battery but some concerns
I had not heard of Kepworth batteries before so I checked them out on the web before ordering. From their website they are a china based company with a warehouse in California and Quebec Canada. They have been in the battery business since 2008 and produce deep cycle, LiFePO4, and NiMH formats. A lot of their batteries are the larger scale, 100Ah, 200Ah, and 12, 24, and 48 volt. So I expect this is their entrance into the smaller amp-hour size. The battery is very nice and came well packed. In order to hook it up the charger, I had to use a wrench to loosen the post screws, they were pretty tight. The battery came fully charged.LiFePO4 batteries have a longer lifespan than lithium-ion batteries and are less prone to thermal runaway and overheating and thus lower chance of catching fire. This makes them safer to use in the house and more reliable in the long run. What I appreciated is the battery came with a 20Ah Battery-Management-System (BMS) built in. With Lithium batteries you need this to protect them from overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and short circuit. Also nice is this battery can be wired into a series and/or parallel configuration. With this flexibility you can change the circuit voltage as needed. I have 4 other 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries from a different manufacturer but they can only be wired into parallel so their voltage is limited to 12 volt. The measured battery size is 7 inches wide, 3 inched deep, and 6 5/8 inches tall. One thing is evident immediately; they changed the top of the battery. I’m not sure if this was a good thing. Generally the posts of batteries are recessed from the top to prevent shorts. The pictures shown on Amazon’s product description page do not picture the new battery top. The post screws are now 1/8 inch above the top of the battery before wiring up. OK, it has a BMS but…I watched a tear-down of a Kepworth’s LiFePO4 12v 100Ah battery on YouTube. The internal assembly looked OK and that 100Ah battery used pouch cells instead of hard-cased cells. Based on this, 20Ah battery weight and price, I suspect this battery is also based on pouch cells. Pouch cells usually have a shorter cycle life to hard-cased cells so they may not perform as well in frequent charging and discharging cycle applications. Their description states 4000+ recharge times in a deep cycle application. So with stated recharge times, one final thing. I cannot find anything mentioning a warranty. The included user manual covers all their LiFePO4 batteries, specifications and warnings but nothing about warranties. Also their website has no warranty information or document downloads. So this may be a concern for someone ordering multiple batteries. All in all, the battery is made by an established company, has the necessary protections, and at a comparable price but also some issues; warranty, top design, pouch cells.

Simple and straightforward
I'm often engaged in outdoor activities, so finding a lightweight and reliable power source is crucial. This battery ticks all the boxes for me. The size and weight of the battery are perfect for my needs. I've used it for several projects, including powering a small kayak. I appreciate the built-in Battery Management System (BMS) to prevent overcharge, over-discharge, and other potential issues. Charging the battery has been straightforward and efficient. It charges at a rate typical for LiFePO4 batteries, and I've found the power output to be consistent with the stated capacity. One minor drawback is the size of the terminal bolts, which I found a bit small and tricky to work with. Larger bolts would make connections more secure and easier to manage. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

Super light and 120A crank power
This battery is very nicely built and powerful battery. It is packaged well. The documentation that came with it said that the bms kicks out at 120A as a short circuit which should let small engines be started. I plan to use it on my boat for the electronics, lighting and trolling motor. I may get another for my lawn mower if it works reliably next spring. My boat has a solar charger that will tie in nicely to the battery with the BMS system. The pricing is better than many lead acid batteries while providing all the benefits of a stable LiFePO4 battery that can be discharged fully without killing the battery and works through many more charging cycles. Great product that I would highly recommend for deep cycle non engine starting needs. With the 120A surge current, it may also work well for starting engines, but I need to test more to be sure it does not impact the battery life.
