Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Low Fat Digestive Care Dry Dog Food

Bought this several times and is exactly what I’ve been advised to use by the vets. Delivery is always on time.

My dog has stomach issues and this dog food help because it is also low fat. This is the only dog which has all the vitamins in it which she needs.

We give to our dog as treats & not affect his tum. He had pancreatitis 2 years ago & is on the purest of diets

My frenchie loves it. It smells very nice. Very good quality of kibble. My girl was advised it by our vet due to be diagnosed with pancreatitis

This has literally saved my dog's life. He suffers from pancreatitis and it is one of only a few items of food I can buy for him to eat. Also he really likes it. A tip if your dog is not keen. Heat the food in the microwave to bring out the flavour of the food more.

This is an extremely expensive dog food, but it is well worth the price since our dog nearly died twice this past year with pancreatitis. She loves the taste, especially when I add a bit of my homemade recipe for dog chicken stew from the internet along with a couple of tablespoons of low fat cottage cheese. I'm very thankful to God for healing our ll year old Border Collie. We watch everything she eats.

The only dislike is the price. Our old baby has died, but while she had this food, she loved it, her fur got softer, and her health rebounded for a little while before she had to leave us, at 13 1/2, a nice long life for a big dog.

Had purchased 11 of the 27.5lb bags from Nov. 2023 until May 2025 from Amazon. All 11 bags had the same kibble. Same color, size, smell. My senior Aussie/Border Collie mix had no issues transitioning from his previous kibble and readily ate his new Science Diet food. All of that changed with the arrival of a new bag July 2025. I immediately noticed the lighter color as well as a slightly smaller and irregular (non-uniform) sizing. ??? Upon feeding the kibble from this new bag to my dog he immediately began to leave some food uneaten. I initially attributed his reduced appetite to other causes. Still, I was suspicious. * You will notice in the pictures below that only one bag of the same i/d Low Fat kibble is a dark rich brown. This is how all previous 11 bags of kibble looked. No variation. The other two baggies contain i/d Low Fat kibble from bags purchased from Amazon on 7/5/25 and again on 7/22/25. The bag with the dark brown kibble was an 8.5lb bag purchased from my Vet on 7/22/25. After close to an hour on the phone with the manufacturer's Customer Service I was informed that the codes printed on the sides of the 3 bags indicated they were manufactured at different locations. They requested, and I supplied them with the pictures (below). In a series of back-and-forth emails they maintained the difference in "visual appearance" between the samples was within Normal Variance and assured me that it did not affect the quality, etc. I replied back that the "variance" was NOT NORMAL, as any reasonable person could see and my previous 11 purchases proved that fact due to their identical resemblance to the sample purchased from the Vet. The manufacturer has steadfastly refused to admit any possibility of a sub-standard product from the plant where Amazon is now purchasing this product. They have offered coupons to offset the cost of one of the bags I requested approval to return back to Amazon for refund. Amazon has stepped up and stood behind the manufacturer's 100% satisfaction guarantee and approved my refund. Anyone buying Science diet i/d Low Fat from Amazon: Look for the following code in BOLD numbers on the Top Side of the bag beneath the proof of purchase QR code- the number 10404 is the product from the plant manufacturing the light-colored kibble my dog wouldn't eat. I am considering having the samples tested by a third party Lab after my dog's blood tests taken on 7/22/25 came back with alarming abnormalities. to be cont.

Amazon processed a speedy refund but we were super reliant on this food arriving on time and intact. Upon opening the Amazon box, the we found the kibble to be everywhere. That said, our dog suffers from pancreatitis so much (and so easily). This food has helped those episodes decrease significantly.
