crisp & bright
This Samsung 49" monitor has met my expectations. It replaced 3 smaller screens and as an additional bonus I now have 3 AC power plugs free and less AV cables to deal with. This monitor allows me to have the same amount of windows open as I did before without having the split(s) between monitor. Resolution is adjustable, colors are crisp, videos are smooth. Recommend to anyone that wants to minimize equipment and still have the functionality.

Great monitor for work
Good curved monitor for work.I was tired of working with two curved displays that had a visual partition in the middle where I joined them together. This monitor provides the same screen options without that partition. In fact, I can get more window sizing options more easily with this new curved monitor. The refresh rate and display on this are fantastic. It has helped me signficantly for my office work.My only complaint is that it is too wide and I would prefer a slightly smaller width. This is not an issue with the product as its size is clearly stated, just my personal opinion.Good value for the money and I do not regret purchasing it.

It's A Dead Parrot
Bought it on May 18, 2024, it popped loudly then died on November 9, 2024. HAD a beautiful picture, everything nice everybody else has already said, I was really enjoying it. Fired up the computer this morning, nothing different or changed in months, started a game that I normally play and heard a "pop" through the speakers and the monitor went black. There was no power outage, it's on a UPS so even if so that wouldn't affect it, everything else running fine still. Turned off all power, unplugged everything from UPS so it had zero power, let it sit unpowered for a couple of minutes, plugged all back in, fired up and the screen is black. Made sure that I repowered using the power button on the monitor, and it wasn't having any of it. It's a dead parrot after only, what, just shy of SIX MONTHS.A "high quality" monitor from Samsung, a normally reliable company, shouldn't be having issues like this so quickly. Usually when I buy Samsung it's for life, so to speak, meaning I stop using the products when I upgrade to something else years later. It's too late for me to refund on Amazon, however Samsung tech support offered to troubleshoot it assuming I ship it back (who keeps an original box/Styrofoam for something this monstrously big longer than a few weeks? Not I), so now the quest begins to find a huge non-standard sized box and twenty gallons of Styrofoam peanuts and do all the fun manual and time consuming work that goes into sending something huge back to a company. Fortunately they're providing the shipping label. If they can't fix it I believe I'm on a one year warranty still, so hopefully they replace it.Just less than six months on such a high quality expensive monitor. Shameful. I'm not asking for much except a working high quality item I purchased working like it should, and I'm being as reasonable as I can be. Make it right Samsung and I'll revise this review.NEW 12/13/2024: The Rep who said to ship it back said another Rep would get back to me with details in a couple of days. Nobody ever contacted me, and the Rep himself was very snarky and belittling as if somehow this was my fault. Need to call back again, but I'm getting the feeling that Samsung is taking a knee and running out the clock on the warranty, leaving me out over $900. This is not right, it's not good, it's not fair of a multi billion dollar company to rip people off like this and I'm highly upset, and to top it off, they basically put all the onus on me to find some kind of mega box to ship it back in (good luck with that folks) and then don't send a shipping label or contact me with a follow up. NOT GOOD!Last Update: True to form, Samsung ran out the clock on the warranty. I have a dead monitor that cost me $900 sitting in the garage, and it's so "new" that you can't find a power supply for it yet. See others reporting this. Lowering this to 1 star, and wish I could give a negative star. Never doing business with Samsung regarding their monitors ever again, and they clearly don't care nor do they care about the many others reporting the same thing.

Best Monitor I've Ever Used
I ordered this as an 'open box' item in 'like new' condition. The product was received in it's original packaging and wasn't missing any pieces. There were some VERY MINIMAL scratches to the very top bezel but you can't see them when sitting in front of the monitor, and even if you're looking for them they're hard to see. I would say I am very satisfied with the price that I paid and the condition that I received the monitor in.The screen quality is AMAZING, the refresh rate and color quality are insane and the field of view in most video games feels almost like a cheat. It's also great for work, I work in IT so I often have many VM's, programs, and remote connections open on my device at the same time, this monitor makes it INCREDIBLY easy to multitask and switch between windows. If you're a fan of having a lot of desktop space then this monitor beats the hell out of having 2 separate monitors. If you're considering this for work as well as gaming then I'm here to tell you that the price is absolutely worth it.Attached is a picture of League of Legends on this monitor, look at that and tell me that this monitor doesn't give you a tactical advantage when playing games!

An Awesome Monitor that Could be Better
I'd been eyeballing one of these Odyssey G9's for some time, so I finally picked one up. I'll say this - it's an amazing experience to both work and play games on such an ultrawide screen. I simply love it. The colors are great, too. I get no screen tearing, games are fluid (driving this monitor with an Nvidia 3090ti), and working on it is amazing. Text is nice and sharp, too. Simply love this monitor. So, then, why give it only 4 stars? The monitor came with one stuck pixel. I contacted Amazon about getting a replacement and was told that the only real option I had was to send this one back first, await my refund, and then order another one. That wasn't going to work for me since I needed this for work and simply can't take off several days while this was all sorted out. Fortunately, the stuck pixel is not always noticeable and near the bottom edge of the screen.Secondly, while sliding the monitor back on my desk, two of the rubber feet on the display stand simply came off. I had to lift up this monitor to stick them back on. At this price point, I'd expect the rubber feet to adhere a bit better then that ... at least enough to allow me to slide the monitor a bit if I need to access the back or re-adjust it's position on my desk.Despite these two things, I really love this monitor.
