I purchased this grow light bar for a hydroponic indoor lettuce growing project. I wanted to test this product against a few others I have ordered (also on Amazon).The light arrived very quickly and was packaged decently for safe transport.This 'Canagrow CG-400 LED' grow light bar utilizes newer LEDs indicated by the high μmol output. Measuring a light by lumens is for humans. Plants should be measured by μmol/PAR to equate the PPFD . This specific bar LED actually achieves the stated μmols that is advertised in their marketing when measured with an Apogee MQ-500 Quantum PAR meter.These type of LED grow lights have come a long way since inception, therefore it runs very efficiently. This can effectively replace a 200w-300w Sodium Halide grow light (but coverage of this light is recommended for a 2ftx2ft area rather than a 4x4ft area) while only pulling roughly 50w from the wall and delivers a more even coverage than a bulb+reflector which suffers from spotlight intensity. You also benefit from an absence of heat buildup due to the LED efficiency. This is ideal for a grow tent, cabinet, or indoor growing environment. Additionally modern LEDs have 10x+ the lifespan of a bulb while never diminishing in intensity.This light has a plexiglass or polycarbonate cover plate over the LEDs, giving this light a "water resistant" rating. It seems that the plate could easily be removed for cleaning although I did not have to remove it.It is lightweight and can be mounted with the included clips and wire. The bar can be controlled by an external timer (not included) and does not require an On/Off switch as some other lights require.I have had this light for a few weeks and it is producing ideal growing results with my hydroponic lettuce project, therefore I do recommend this for others.

I have been using this grow light for several months now and it is perfect! It is very easy to use and the size makes it easy to move around where I want it. I love being able to adjust the height to fit my plants needs. It looks great and the performance is outstanding!

This grow light is perfect!! Easy to set up and operate. I took it to my work office for my potted plant. The timer works great so my plant gets light on the weekends and days when I am not there. Great product. Definitely recommend.

Works as described.

Based on the description and reviews. I expected both a dimmer and timer function. It has neither. Responses from verified purchasers mentioned knob controls on the side of the unit - none are present, so maybe the product has undergone a redesign. It seems bright enough but to this point, I have not had a chance to evaluate its performance. Based on this uncertainty, I've given it 2 stars rather than 1. At a minimum, its not as described.

I am gradually changing my flourescent grow lights to LED grow lights. I find this one does an exceptional job compared to some of the other lights I've tried. The flowers seem to grow faster, the leaves are not scorched as some like to do. Very easy to assemble. The Hanging system is not as flexible to adjust to the size of the plants but the plants do not stretch with it being a little higher. Has not seemed to have affected my electric bill.Would re-purchase

Only lasted until a few weeks ago

purchased this for a small area of my living room away from windows. My plants are very happy! I really like the "set it and forget it" feature also.
