Odds on!
An entertaining and worthwhile telling of the true story of a racehorse bred and reared outside the usual well-funded circumstances that went on to achieve success beyond its owners' wildest dreams - bestowed with the veryapt name of Dream Alliance. Well done in every respect - a pleasing docu-drama that features an upliftingcombination of unlikely human ambition and unexpected equine performance on the racecourse. The titleundoubtedly refers to the discounted chances given to Dream Alliance's racing success as an "unknown quantity" by those considered knowledgeable in the sport.

Wonderful documentary film
I have watched this film four times now. And I will watch it many more times and never tire of this wonderful tale of a remarkable woman and how she fulfilled her dream and inspired the Welsh village in which she lived to support her in her life-changing venture. If you love horse-racing, you will love this rags to riches story but most of all, it is the characters in it who inspire. A tale of ordinary folk who were given the chance to take their proud place in the often snobby world of the upper echelons of the racing world - it's simply great stuff and very moving.

Wonderful film for everyone
Really great film telling the true story of normal people working together , having a dream and sense of community . Through some wonderfully spirted people a horse racing syndicate was born - and then a beautiful horse Dream - in Wales .This is a great uplifting film - rare to see these days and a lovely contrast to seeing actors . As the people telling their story are wonderful and endearing .I was griped from beginning to end and it left me with a hopeful , uplifting feeling that is rare from most films and TV programmes again .Please watch this - you won't be disappointed .It shows how wonderful people can be when they care , believe and work together . As for the horse - he is all the spirit of the people in a beautiful , majestic form .Best film I have seen for ages .

Dreams can come true
Beautifully made film. It made my 9 year old granddaughter cry tears of sadness and joy and cheer the horse on in the races. It also highlights the way in which miners lived and socialised in the valleys and how they collaborated to achieve something that was apparently impossible. My granddaughter did not understand what coal mines were (and she is a very bright child) so the film also encouraged discussion and educated her.

Heartwarming and horsey!
Superb film about a woman who buys a mare and breeds a foal from her to race. Heartwarming, Welsh people in village who created a syndicate with the horse, 'Dream Alliance.' It brought a tear to my eye more than once while viewing. Fantastic action pictures of foals, and horses in field and out on racetrack. At £4.50 to rent was well worth it. Go on horse lovers take a look at this lovely film.

Very good true film and since buying have watched a number of times. Its a drama documentary not sure to begin with as I hadn't expected this. It was really good though and a uplifting feel good 'film'. Please don't be put of by the documentary part as it is done so well in fact it adds to it. Great extras at the end as wellSo pleased I purchased it highly recommend

Great
Truth is stranger than fiction...You would not believe this if it was a Hollywood film without feeling it was impossible or to far fetched, as anyone with racing knowledge would testify. A great "true" fairy tale, and a really enjoyable watch.. Recommended.

Documentary not Film
This is the first title we have brought from Amazon and we were very disappointed it was a documentary and not the film. We watched 15 minutes and then turned off I don’t know why we had to pay £2.99 for a documentary which I believe was made in 2016.
