Fishwife always does an amazing job with their tins. These cans are perfect size and portioned great. The spice is very subtle but still gives off a little heat if you bite a chili. The mackerel are my favorite, they are just perfectly crafted. However, the salmon has the most wonderful taste and smoke flavor to it that doesn’t overwhelm you. If you are looking to try, I highly reccomend them, if you are looking to try your first tins of fish, I HIGHLY, reccomend these as they will help you build a great expectation.

This was a big hit! Bought the three pack (smoked trout, mackerel, salmon) for camp snacking at Joshua Tree National Park. We had other dips and a Trader Joe's canned trout to accompany and compare. The hands down winner was the Fish Wife Smoked Salmon. People took pictures of the box so they would know what to order. The next favorite was the Fish Wife Smoked Trout, and then the mackerel. Trader Joe's trout was described as bland in comparison. Our group thought the Fish Wife product had the right balance of flavors without the fish or smoke being overpowering. Everyone was surprised that the smoked mackerel was less fishy than expected, and frankly, that was my biggest concern about buying the three pack. It might seem pricey but you could easily make two sandwiches from each tin or serve it as an appetizer as we had it. There were seven of us, by the way. I know tinned fish is big in some countries like Spain and I'm excited that we're finally getting high quality products that give us some variety over fresh fish or crummy canned tuna or sardines. This is tasty food!

These were all very tasty. Only drawback is they’re $10+/tin so they’re not necessarily for every day. You can get a couple of them cheaper at target but this is a nice set to give as a gift since the packaging, quality, and taste are so nice.

The tins showed up in good condition. Quality was decent, but there are a lot better options out there for the same price and less. I wouldn’t purchase again. Trendy packaging is half of what you’re paying for.

This smoked trio is FANTASTIC! The flavors are very balanced: not too salty, not too smokey and not too fishy! These are intended to snack on and/as appetizers, which is how they are usually consumed in places like Spain (where I have become aware of this type of product — and where I think the company originated). So… yes… the tins may be on the small side and there may be a fair amount of oil, but that is as it should be! The oil… is for dipping bread in, people! DO NOT TROW IT AWAY! Excellent product worth every penny. We just bought the different tuna and sardines to try… and more of each of the smoked items.

UPDATING MY REVIEW: I really appreciate that Fish Wyatt reached out to resolve the issue. They went above and beyond my expectations. Of the items I received, I really enjoyed them in the packaging is such a delight.————————Only three of the four items were in the package. Hoping seller will resolve this. They are expensive to not get one!
