Excellent replacement for overpriced Franke OEM tap inserts.
Bought these as my Franke tap started to drip after only 18 months. The tap was quite expensive but have noticed that the quality of Franke has really dropped over the past few years. Original inserts from Franke cost 4x the price of these. Not wishing to waste any more money with Franke thought I would try these. Easy to fit, even come with a hex key to remove the handles. No more dripping tap, very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect replacement!

Good valves, wrong tool
Good news: fitted perfectly and no drips. For £13 I couldn't be bothered to figure out if it was the hot side or the cold side, so replaced both. The ones in already, and these, could be loosened and tightened by removing the plastic collar and then using a 14mm ring spanner. Vaguely bad news, docked one star: to save five minutes I ordered this particular set because of it coming with the right sized Allen key to remove the tiny grub screws in the handles. It was the wrong sized Allen key, for my taps at least. Luckily I had one the right size to hand. At a guess, 2.0mm supplied, 2.5mm needed: neither was labelled, and the right was was lying around in my tool kit looking lost. Not the vendor's fault: like other people, I'm a bit disappointed that this is the second time I have had to change the cartridges in four years. And getting them back on so that the handles are perfectly vertical when off and horizontal when full-on is a pain: it's pretty clear from the witness marks on the plastic collar that the previous person who worked on the tap just put them on at random and then tightened the grub screw to dig into the plastic, rather than hitting the indentation.

Perfect, they arrived on time and fitted in 10 mins, drip free , can’t fault the valves, the only thing I can fault is the postage and package was £4:99.I don’t use Amazon enough to buy on Prime so I found this expensive??????
