Helping me to sleep bette, I like this brand a lot, no harmful fillers

My functional medicine doctor wanted me to take 400 mg of this for sleep, and it was hard to find a product with that amount. This has it! I’m a horrible sleeper so not 100% sure this is making a huge difference, but I do seem to be sleeping a bit better.

I buy this supplement and brand over and over. Very good quality and price.

Made me throw up literally everytime I took it. Within an hour I would feel light headed and woozy. I would then break out in a cold sweat and violently vomit. After 3 days of this, I finally tossed them in the trash. Buyer beware!

I've been using the product for about a week, one capsule per night just before bedtime. It's difficult for me to distinguish whether a new supplement helps me with sleep because I combine a number of them (Hemp oil gummies, melatonin, magnesium glycinate, and Valerian Root). However, after adding in this 5-HTP product, I do think that it helps with deep sleep and I've noted better sleep scores with my Fitbit, especially with the deep sleep. 5-Hydroxytrytophane (%-HTP) is a metabolite of tryptophane, which is a precursor to serotonin. At least one study has shown that 5-HTP helps people go to sleep quicker and sleep more deeply compared to taking a placebo. Researchers recommend 200 to 400 mg, but it may up to 12 weeks to be fully effective. I didn't need that long. I believe that it is helping me to sleep after the first week. I look forward to testing it more and to adding it to my regular nighttime sleep regimen. One thing I'd like for the manufacturer to hear is that it would be good if you added to the information on the product that you have tested for the presence of the substance 'Peak X'. Yes, I know the product is produced in the USA in a GMP facility and that it is tested for purity and potency (per their product description). However, given that the Peak X contaminant in a particular manufacturing batch of tryptophane in Japan over 30 years ago lead to an FDA recall of all tryptophane, and that lower levels were also found in 5-HTP, it would make me feel better to know that this product does not contain any.

Gave me bad heart burn and upset stomach. I’ve used 5-HTP for years and I had to throw this one away since I couldn’t sleep due to heart burn. I even tried it a couple nights all by itself to make sure it was actually this product and it was. Unable to return since it’s consumable.

It comes in a white plastic light blocking bottle with inner and outer seals for protection. Average supplement capsule size and no aftertaste or anything negative. Seems good to me.
