I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
I am on an Irish network and ordered this sim-free phone from England HOPING it would work with my Irish SIM card. It did, it does, I could blab about this phone 24/7 (having previously owned a Nokia Lumia 520). Rear camera is very good (flashight for nighttime and bad light pics and videos), front camera is lower res, works perfectly fine for selfies and video chats! No accelerometer, so apps needing a compass will not work on this. I have a 64gb memory card in it that was in my 520 (although I believe it could take one with twice the capacity), slotted straight in, no loss of data, no need to reformat. I like the fact that you do not have to remove the battery to insert/remove the sim and memory card. Because it is simfree and therefore not tied to a specific carrier, almost as soon as I got it I was able to start pre-updates and actual updates leading to the phone running WP8.1 instead of WP8 and THAT is cool. New OS changes the screenshot combo to "volume up + power button", adds swipe typing, a new notification centre, slightly different settings menu, but once you get used to those changes you wil never go backwards, I promise you. (going to stop typing now, too many cool features to talk about here)

Get Smart a great phone
This model of Nokia phone has virtually been discontinued by all the big retailers in favour of the 630 but unfortunately the 630 does not have an LED flash included therefore this makes the 625 a better buy in my opinion. A good friend has had one for about 6 months so I knew what to expect in fact we were so impressed my partner and I bought one each. For the price you will find it hard to find to find a phone with better functionality and of cause with Nokia construction quality and windows 8.1 software I think this phone makes a great choice.Still learning my way around, but so far so good everything I expected so am very pleased.... If you think you want one of these then hurry up they are become very difficult to find!

Great for breaking in to Microsoft phone.
After my HTC Evo died I've been looking for a new phone. I've experimented with Blackberry and that won't be happening again! I'm a .Net developer so I thought I'd try a window phone. I went for the 625 as it's got quite reasonable stats for the price 8GB HD (Expandable to 32GB with Micro SD, 512MB RAM (which I was a bit concerned about), etc...). This was my first Windows phone as I have been using Android for the past 6 years (with a 2 month break on Blackberry that won't be spoken of again). Anyway I was pleasently surprised. There were one or two apps missing that I had come to rely on but I found the Microsoft equivelent just as good. Emails integrated seamlessly, Nokia's map program HERE Maps is really good and allows you to cache whole country maps for when you don't have an internet connection. Skype works really well. It only has 512MB RAM which I thought would slow it down but it doesn't seem to. I don't think I'll be going back to android.A note for developers, you'll need visual studio 2013 or above (of which you can get the express version free from Microsoft) and the express IDE only works on Windows 8 NOT 7.

love the phone, music, vids, games, the best free phone ever
I compared this phone with the newest version Lumia 635 and i decided to buy it, because it still has a bigger screen the video has better quality 1080p, the phone is wonderful and simple for newbies like me, some phones are too complicated and so on. it is totally a product with money quality guaranteed. and not being stuck with any corporation is even better, it's sim free i don't need contracts. the photo quality is amazing, the apps are all good, and came with a voucher of 36£ to spend, wow... the only small issue is the battery duration. but for people like me that likes the looks of certain cars/phones/computers to look good and being cheap at the same time , this phone ticks all the boxes for me. Very happy . OH and it was delivered one day earlier, Amazing stuff, very happy.

It just works!
Very intuitive - large screen but a little too heavy for my liking. Easy internet browsing - so less reliance on "apps" which I sometime suspect are more about delivering ads to you on the small screen! Home screen Icons can be dragged around - resized, syncs with Windows. Excellent battery life only need to recharge every other day!

and the GPS satellite detection is better than most in car GPSs
Fabulous phone!! Makes my Samsung Galaxy look awkward and old. Here Maps and driving are superb as you do not need a data connection, and the GPS satellite detection is better than most in car GPSs. The windows live tiles are excellent and much better and useful use of the screen real estate than dumb icons. It is easier to use and more intuitive than my Galaxy. Love it!!

While it worked it was great, but that did not last long
While it worked it was great, but that did not last long, it started going faulty and lost battery power quickly. Several times I could not switch the phone off and had to wait till it timed out. I gave up on the phone when the screen began to get warm.
