Cuts very well
The first thing I cut was 1/4" neoprene with some very tough fabric covering both front and back. Very difficult to cut with scissors. The Electric Fabric cutter went right through it as fast as I could go. It cut some 1/2" automotive carpet underlayment that I can been struggling to cut. Again no issue with this tool. It came with instructions and safety advise. There is no trigger lockout the keep you from accidently activating the motor/blade. However that makes it very easy and quick to use and is no different that many power tools.

Excellent choice of cutters and the company is phenominal to work with.
The customer service with this company is fantastic and I give them 10 stars!I suffer from arthritis and these cutters allow me to continue my love of working with thick materials. I volunteer for Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County cat rescue and make thousands of post surgical pads that provide clean and comfortable bedding for felines after their spay and neuter procedures. I could not continue this passion without these cutters. And any issue at all with the product and the company is right there to help me through it. I give them 10 STARS!!!

Not for me
I am a professional seamstress and have been cutting items out by hand for many years. Well the hands are getting tired so I decided to try this cutter. I found it challenging to hold level as the foot is narrow and set off to one side of the cutter, which I guess is how most of them are designed. That was stressful and dealing with the cord was also extra work. I ended up returning this buying some cordless electric scissors and so far I love them. Excellent customer service though!
