CM5418 Espresso Machine, Barista Coffee Machine with Milk Frother

I’ve been using the Casabrews CM5418 daily for about 2–3 weeks to make espresso and milk drinks (mainly cappuccinos and lattes). I bought it as a step up from pod coffee, and overall it delivers solid results for the price, especially if you’re willing to learn a bit. Setup & ease of use: Setup was quick (around 15–20 minutes) and the machine is ready to use within about a minute of switching on. The compact size is a big plus — it fits easily on a standard kitchen counter without taking up much space. Controls are simple and straightforward with single/double shot options. Coffee quality: Espresso quality is surprisingly good once dialled in. With fresh beans and a medium-fine grind, it produces a decent crema and a strong, smooth shot. It’s not café-level, but it is clearly a step above pod machines and instant coffee. Consistency is good once you find the right grind setting. Milk frothing: The steam wand works well but has a learning curve. It can produce decent foam for cappuccinos and usable microfoam for lattes, but it’s not very powerful compared to higher-end machines. Beginners may need a bit of practice to avoid large bubbles. Everyday use: Noise is typical for a pump machine and not overly disruptive. Cleaning is fairly simple, although the steam wand needs wiping immediately after use. Downsides: * Mostly plastic build (feels budget but not fragile) * Steam wand takes practice * Included accessories are basic * Not ideal if you want full barista control Verdict: A very good entry-level espresso machine. Best suited for someone moving on from pod coffee who wants proper espresso at home without spending £300–£700+. It won’t replace a café machine, but for daily home use it’s excellent value once you learn how to dial it in.

I don't write reviews very often, so you could say this is my first one. This purchase could be quite expensive for somebody, so I decided to share my opinion to help other buyers. This coffee machine is a great choice for those who love coffee. I only drink coffee with milk, so I was looking for a machine with a steam wand. I read a lot of reviews on this product – I’ve had the machine for 2-3 months now, and everything works perfectly. Thanks to the other reviews, I was prepared for the fact that the machine is noisy. This is true, but it wasn’t a problem for me, as I prioritized other factors when choosing. Some people received faulty machines; the only issue I noticed was a cracked red part that’s used as a steam wand cleaner, but this is absolutely not a problem for me. Another thing I noticed when buying the coffee machine in silver is that it gets smudged easily. Some fingerprints stay on it until you clean it with glass cleaner (so far, that’s the only thing I’ve tried, so I’m not sure if other cleaners would work). This is only an issue for perfectionists. I think most people won’t even notice it. As for the machine's operation – it’s pretty easy to figure out. The package includes two manuals: one is more detailed, and the other is a quick-start guide with pictures showing how to set up the machine and make coffee. So, I understood how to use it very quickly. The coffee turns out amazing. I can even drink it without sugar. I know a lot depends on the type of coffee, so I chose one that’s not too acidic or overly roasted (Lavazza Qualita Rossa). Overall, it’s a worthy purchase. I really enjoy the process itself; it’s meditative. I hope I’ll be able to update this review over time. It will be interesting to see and report how the machine performs once the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

Love the machine but trying to find out how to turn the water temperature down is very hard to find and still no answers.

Really pleased with this machine so far. It’s compact, looks smart on the counter, and pulls a decent espresso with a nice crema. The steam wand works well once you get used to it, and I’ve been enjoying making lattes at home without any fuss. The pressure gauge is a nice touch and makes it easy to dial things in. For the price, I wasn’t expecting café-quality results, but it’s honestly better than I thought it would be. Ideal for daily use and a good option if you don’t want to spend a fortune.

I’ve had the CASABREWS CM5418 for almost two years, and it has been a great espresso machine—consistent pressure, good crema, and reliable daily performance. Recently, it developed an electrical issue where switching it on would trip the breaker. I contacted CASABREWS support, and their response was exceptional. They analysed the issue properly, replied quickly, and immediately offered a replacement without requiring me to return the faulty unit. Their attitude was professional, kind, and genuinely customer‑focused. A good machine is great, but a company that stands behind its product is even better. Highly recommended.

Brilliantt small machine, ideal for limited countertop space. Makes a great cup of coffee, feels sturdy and has a heavy portafilter with good locking into the brew head. The milk froths easily, would buy again

Absolutely amazing machine and really affordable ! (No affiliation to seller ) so far works great , manufacturer offers a 1 yr warranty. I have bought this machine quite sceptically but it brews a really nice strong coffee (I prefer double shot) with intensely roasted coffee. (Illy) If you grind your own coffee fresh and preheat the portafilter -let hot water run through before putting coffee in there - you’ll get coffee shop quality beverage at home. (It brings the taste and strength close to the classic moka pot) the coffee has a nice thick crema that doesn’t dissolve! (Btw I worked as barista some years ago and I have been searching for an affordable machine for home since - I think I found it now ) I had a DeLonghi Dedica Arte before— that one I had to send back because it brews lukewarm weak ice tea looking thing compared to this machine ! The machine is nice looking , sleek and compact doesn’t take up too much space :)

Bought this to replace a Delonghi machine which wasn’t working as well. This has a good pressure to make a good espresso. My only gripes with it are its noisy and vibrates quite a bit. The steamer for the milk takes a bit of getting used to. Made a mess of it more than a few times. Overall, a good machine but don’t expect it to be quiet. Update - had this over a year and still noisy. It gets a lot of use, which is good. Makes an excellent espresso as the pressure bar on it is just right. Perfect for people who are v fussy about their espressos. Starting to have an issue with it not pouring out and going up to a high pressure on the gauge, but this might be due more to my impatience at using the machine. Still happy with it. Have gone back to enjoying my coffees properly now. It’s better than the chain coffee shops’ efforts

Nel corso degli anni ho acquisito una certa esperienza con macchine da caffè piuttosto blasonate e costose, ma, nonostante l'utilizzo di miscele di alta qualità come Illy, Lavazza e Splendid, i risultati sono sempre stati altalenanti, difficilmente paragonabili a un buon espresso da bar. Recentemente, dopo 4-5 anni di utilizzo di macchine a capsule, mi sono imbattuto su Amazon in questo modello, che mi ha incuriosito per il prezzo, le recensioni positive e, soprattutto, per la pressione di 20 bar. Insomma nonostante qualche perplessità, ho deciso di acquistarla. La macchina è arrivata puntualmente, ben imballata e corredata di tutto il necessario, compreso un manuale multilingua (anche in italiano). Dopo aver completato facilmente la prima messa in funzione, l’ho messa subito alla prova. Come caffè, ho utilizzato la miscela Splendid Espresso (la confezione verde con l’immagine del portafiltro e della tazzina). Con mia grande sorpresa, la prima cosa che ho notato è stata la silenziosità della macchina, comparabile, se non superiore, a quella delle macchine a capsule. Ma ciò che ha davvero superato le mie aspettative sono stati i risultati in termini di gusto e cremosità: il caffè è stato perfetto, poco da invidiare a un espresso da bar. Entusiasta dei risultati, dopo aver preparato almeno una decina di caffè, mi sono accorto che l'indicatore di pressione non funzionava correttamente. In passato con un altra macchina me l'ero cavata lasciando il liquido decalcificante nella macchina per tutta la notte, ma in questo caso non ha funzionato. Considerando l'eccellente qualità dell'espresso ho contattato il supporto il quale mi ha suggerito -praticamente in tempo reale- di ripetere la decalcificazione poiché probabilmente qualche residuo durante il trasporto potrebbe aver ostruito il manometro. Al secondo fallimento il venditore mi ha rassicurato sul fatto che la macchina fosse comunque utilizzabile, proponendomi in aggiunta un’unità sostitutiva senza la restituzione di quella acquistata, previo invio di un breve video del difetto e del numero di serie. E così a distanza di due giorni arriva la seconda macchina esente da qualsiasi problema. Tirando le somme: l'assistenza è stata davvero impeccabile sotto ogni punto di vista temporale e risolutiva, pertanto nonostante il problema, posso dire che l'esperienza complessiva è stata decisamente positiva. Super Qualität. Top 👍 Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Der Expresso ist sehr gut. Und der Milchschäume super. Wer eine kleine Espressomaschine sucht, wird mit dir glücklich. Sieht super aus. Supermodell und macht super Kaffee. Lecker Kaffee wenn man auch die leckeren Kaffee kauft.😉

Lo primero que te llama la atención es su diseño, sin ostentaciones pero muy agradable...y su tamaño, que pasa desapercibida en una cocina grande, pero que es funcional en una pequeña pues ocupa poco más que el ancho del filtro. Lo segundo es la comodidad de preparación del café y la calidad que tiene la máquina para sacarle todo el partido posible gracias a sus 20 bares de presión. El café ya sale con espuma suficiente pero si quieres aún más, el espumador fuciona a las mil maravillas El café sale muy rico, sin complicarte con los molinillos y sus grados de molienda Además, sale la cantidad de líquido que tu desees con lo que no es necesario estar pendiente de si rebosará o no, y la cantidad la ajustas facilmente Y por úlitmo la garantía que da el saber que si tienes un problema te contestarán rapidamente y lo solucionan, como nos pasó a nosotros que vibraba un poco y enviamos un mail y a las pocas horas nos contestaron y al día siguiente ya nos dieron la solucion

Pour l'instant très bien,gout du café impeccable avec du lavazza expresso intense. J'ai essayé des dosettes en papier souple pour le déca et c'est très bon. . J'espere trouver la methode pour n'avoir que de la vapeur pour la mousse. Ne comptez pas sur le "conseiller" d'amazon. il m'a proposé un retour! mais j'ai interrogé Gemini, une IA, qui m'a expliqué comment faire pour avoir de la mousse et en finir avec le bruit assourdissant du mousseur. Peu à peu j'apprends et je me regale car je fais mes essais avec du lait de soja au chocolat ! ce soir j'ai eu helas mais que 5secondes d'un bruit horriblement assourdissant ( preuve que je m'y prends encore mal) et bcp de mousse...genial! Donc je le garde malgré acouphenes.
