Isn’t bringing much out of my cat, even though he is mulching like?

I can't say this is REALLY gentle, however, that is because the blades are metal. So, just have to go slow and be thorough while brushing your animal. I have two Maine Coons and two Shih Tzus (which is why I purchased this). Both of the cats do shed (though not profusely) and I'd like to stay ahead of the "shedding" game with them. As for the Shih Tzus, sometimes the mats are easily made in their tails and on the rumps. With this, it made it easy to get the mats out and I was also able to get extra hair out that I wouldn't have expected (they don't really shed). Very pleased with this brush and I'm glad I purchased it.

This brush is amazing for getting rid of the under coat! Just be careful, it will scrape their skin if used too harshly. But my goodness, the piles of hair just add up with the use of this brush!

We have took in my late father in laws Labrador. The dog has awful allergy and skin issues and didn't like to be brushed. I bought this comb due to the fact that it took forever to comb him with other brushes and it always seemed like the hair didn't really came out. It took me less than 8 minutes to fill a trash bag with his dead undercoat and winter fur. This thing is an absolute must. I even used it on our other two dogs and they are non shedders ( toy Poodle and aChinese Crested chihuahua mix ) their fur felt so much nicer after brushing them, there was no more tangles in the poodles fur. The size is perfect and makes it easy to use. I don't care so much for the appearance, as it works fantastic! I highly recommend this comb!!!
