Installation went smoothly, let’s see if it stays up!
I installed the Coavas Solar Window film on our first window. We have had a terrible problem with heat buildup in our condo the last few years. There are a lot of windows in this condo and unfortunately we went for looks instead of energy efficiency when we bought shades. So our a/c seems to run continuously during the summer. Not good. Our choice to fix the problem was either new shades (way too expensive) or solar film (does it work?). We chose to go with the Coavas solar film. I ordered for one window as a test. The installation went surprisingly easily. I selected a door with a fairly long window to test the product thinking the longest window would be the most difficult to install the film. I trimmed the film to the widow size before installation and then followed the installation instructions. It went pretty well. I used a silicon blade squeegee instead of a card to smooth out the film and remove air bubbles. That worked well. Overall it looks pretty good as installed. Yes there are some remaining bubbles and bumps but we will draw the shades on hot days so the remaining bubbles/bumps are not going to be an issue. The true test will be if the film works and our condo is cooler than in past years. I also installed the test piece to see if it stays put. I didn’t want to order and install hundreds of dollars of film and have a problem with it falling off the windows. Will see. Going to give the test piece a week or two before deciding to order the rest of film. Will update you as the process evolves.

Can't say enough
I noticed this product didn't have many reviews but we ordered it more than once. The windows in our master bedroom get the dead on sun. We have an odd shaped porthole window that has not been replaced and lets in tons of light and heat (although we currently have a sunshade over it...classy). The windows in our house are double paned and these still help so much. They are like tinted car windows, just not dark limo style. They cut the heat and do help with insulation in the winter. They also provide privacy during the day. We do have a window film on our front door that has a huge oval window in it in a mosaic glass type pattern (not this item) and put it on our garage windows for privacy as well. Window film is just awesome and is really worth the small investment. You can feel the difference in light and temperature compared to non-treated windows.

not alot for the price
its is a little amount for the price and to get it to stick was a problem. once it sticks it is ok but can see outside the bubbles you can not get them all out it does work for letting me look out my windows with out any one seeing in but not enough for the price

Does help n easy to do.
A little tricky taking the backing off but use lots of water, and it's ok if your not perfectly lined up you can just realign it with no issues. If it's hot out n sun is beating on your windows your gonna have to be quick n lots of water. The sun will dry it pretty quick at least here in AZ. I can tell the difference they make with keeping heat out and I like that it still let's light in just not bright very pleased

Privacy and energy savings, what more could you want?
I bought it, my wife installed it on the front door windows. Great for privacy and blocks a lot of direct sunlight, keeping the house cooler with a lower electric bill during the summer. A couple of tips...1. Clean the window thoroughly, following the directions and using a lint free cloth.2. Squeegee on carefully.3. It will look a little hazy and clear up over time.

Great daytime privacy
I thought it want working just looking at it, but once applied it does what we wanted we were hoping at night it would of worked also. Unfortunately if the light inside is brighter than outside it becomes more see through. But during the day if someone puts their face to the glass they still can't see inside and it protects against the UV rays. keeps room cooler.

Dark/Mirror Good, Obnoxious to Install, Looks Like Garbage
The film tints well, makes it dim inside, mirror on outside. The film is really obnoxious to work with, makes it impossible to install without creases and bubbles, especially on big windows. It looks really cheap and seedy once put up. Imagine if Stevie Wonder installed your iPhone screen protector, that’s how good it looks. If the pieces don’t fit your window size exactly and you need to cut, then your window will for sure look terrible.

Do it right the first time!
You cannot take it down and reinstall because the window that I did that to it peeled off. The 2nd window I installed correctly first time and it is still up and adhering after 4 days.
