I used these broad wooden hangers for men's suit and leather coats. Works great to keep the coat's shoulders in good shape.

The wooden part seems well made but the hook is made of thin gauge wire and flexes easily. I bought these to hang heavy motorcycle gear and do not think they would hold up.

These hangers have a thick base for the shoulder area of coats, protecting the fabric from too much wear and tear from the weight of hanging. The metal hook at the top is thin and flat, and much less substantial than the wooden body. So far no breakage. I thought these hangers would take up a lot more space in the closet, but they don't, and my coats are better protected. The wood body is nicely made and attractive. Had a very slight off gas when arrived, but that dissipated completely in 3 days, and there is no lingering odor on my coats.
