I bought this electric shaver a year ago and used it almost daily. It is a very good option if you are looking to replace the conventional shaver. It has two speeds and three spares, one for shaving and two for cutting. It also has a charger. In the time I have been using it, I can say that it works quite well, the battery lasts a long time, it can be used with dry or wet skin and with a single pass eliminates the hair. If it is true that it does not remove the hair as close to the root as normal shaving, but it is more agile and less aggressive for the skin.

Before buying this shaver, I was put off by a few reviews that indicated a less than smooth shave. But, after looking over all of the options, this still seemed like the best option. I am glad I made this purchase beacuse the shaving experience has been perfect. I have a beard but like to keep the cheek areas and neck areas smooth. After 3 or 4 days, I can use the trimmer to cut down the stubble and then use the shaver to get a nice clean smooth shave. Switching from the trimmer to the shave head is simple and easy. Hairs do see to like to stick to the rubber parts of the shaver, but they and the heads can be easily cleaned by rinsing with water. The battery seems to last since I have not recharged it after using it for several months. The one down side is that the trimmer is not as effective at taking off the stubble as my last shaver was. But the shaver part does such a good job, that has not been a problem.

It was easy to use. It shaved my husband's face without any major problems. No complaints of pulling or other discomfort. It had good power and didn't make a whole lot of noise. The unit cleans up easily. Good buy. Beats some of the other razors he's used over the years.

I just got this Braun Series 5 5050cs an hour ago. It came fully charged which was cool. I went in and tried it out and was overjoyed with the results. I've got an old Braun shaver that belonged to my Dad, it's beat up and held together with tape....but did a fair job but the battery was gone and had to stay plugged in. I also had a Norelco triple head rotary type shaver that runs very slow and doesn't cut worth a hoot. Both of them are now in the trash can. In just a couple minutes with my NEW Braun I had a super smooth shave. No irritation since I didn't have to work hard to get it done. Even with a good double edge disposable razor which I use in the shower, it's harder to get a smooth shave under my chin and around my neck. The only problem is that it got my whiskers down so low that it's going to be TWO days before I can shave again! You can't go wrong with this one. Only wish it had a travel case or bag of some type, but it does have a good protective cap for the shave heads so I can work it out. Extremely happy with this razor.

Below what I expected for foil face shaving and leaves me with bumps, ingrowns, and pulls my hair out, but this is my first electric razor, so that may be normal. The body and sensitive trimmer is great so I’m keeping it as I shave and trim my body hair and this does a great job with no cuts or nicks and I can use it on my whole body in the shower with no issue.

Nice razor and great shave

I did a lot of research and this seemed to be what I was looking for but looks can be deceiving. First this showed it was supposed come with a pouch but nothing. 2nd, I have not shaved for a couple of days so figured good test run and man I would have to go over my face numerous times before I got a half way decent shave . Then I would notice there was still prickly hairs still there in spots and would have to attempt 3 times to have them cut out. I will more than likely end up returning it. It is not worth the price as it is a very poor electric shaver

I've been using for two weeks now. I find it satisfactory. The backup is good cos it does not need to charge till now after initial charging. The handling is also comfortable, and shaving is quite smooth.

Very good machine

This is the best shaver for me. It provided a very clean shave (for my face shape) and the best feature was the ease of cleaning. I liked that the normal cleaning ritual was simply to run the shaver under the tap. Best of all, the price was very affordable and delivery was pronto. Super happy with the sleek shaver.
