Great set of Barbie dolls!

A Christmas giddy for my Granddaughter. She will love it

Barbie has come a long way since her release in 1959, and now, fully embracing diversity, girls can play with dolls doing all manner of careers. In this set of four, each character has a different job - Studio Exec, Director, Cinematographer and "Movie Star". My daughters love playing with the set, and it helps reaffirm that they're not limited to the "stereotypical" dress-up roles that dolls can take.As well as diversity of (film) careers, I loved to see the diversity of other features of these dolls; different hair colour, skin tones, eye colours and body types. It's refreshing to see real differences in the dolls beyond just what they wear, and that they're not just plastic copies of each other.Dolls themselves are usual quality Barbie dolls - moveable at hips, shoulders and heads (but not elbows or knees). A full range of film-props are also included for the dolls to accessorize with (from a film camera to mobile phone to a script). Of course, all can be worn by any of the dolls, so you can choose the roles yourself.Bravo Barbie, for embracing diversity and giving genuine choice to girls out there!

First impressions of this were really positive, Barbie has come along way since I was a kid!From a parents perspective, I love how each Barbie looks different and that the theme of the set is around their different careers, it’s exactly the type of toy and messaging I want my daughter (5) to have!The set comes with 4 Barbie’s each with their own career; studio executive, director, cinematographer, and movie star, so all quite glamorous job roles that can be used together to imagine they are making a movie etc. To be honest, I’d of probably preferred a more diverse range of careers, but my daughter loves them. You can obviously also swap the clothes etc around so they can play different parts.Overall, I thought this was a really nice set and my daughter has had hours of entertainment with it so I’d be very happy to recommend it.

Grandaughter very pleased with dolls

These lovely dolls have great proportions and beautiful tones. The quality of the clothing and the detailed facial features are exceptional. They would make a perfect gift for a little girl and are also ideal for collectors. I enjoy collecting them because I didn't have the privilege of owning many dolls as a child.

A great set of Barbies, all of whom are working in the entertainment business. Nice diverse collection with different skin types and body sizes. Stereotypical barbie is the only one to work behind the scenes. I found this surprising.Shame that there's not much articulation in the joints. So you get that robot movement from them, my daughter prefers being able to bend arms and legs.At about £16.50 each barbie, that seems about right if not at least a fiver cheaper each if you expected to buying them separately.

Au départ j'ai voulu acheter ce coffret métiers du cinéma pour la belle barbie curvy. Elle a un beau visage, et une très belle robe, elle représente la star qui gagne un oscar. Sa teinte de peau est proche de la barbie Style ronde, mais trop cher pour lui offrir ce corps. Elle va rester tel qu'elle est.La barbie millie face est une barbie tall, grande avec de grands pieds. Ses chaussures peuvent aller aux barbies curvy. Je suis contente car son pantalon va aux barbies grandes et on trouve rarement ces vêtements. Je lui ai attribué un corps made to move grand, celui de la basketteuses millie face. Elle garde ainsi ses caractéristiques de grande et peut conserver ses vêtements. dommage que ce soit une millie face, Mattel aurait pu choisir une blonde plus originale. Elle est directrice de la photographie et à une belle caméra et un clip.La barbie cadre, relations publiques, à un tailleur jupe, son visage est celui d'une quadra, déjà utilisé en blonde et en rousse. Ici elle est châtain légèrement auburn. Elle est assez jolie. Je lui ai donné le corps made to move de la barbie à couettes BMR1959.La barbie réalisatrice à un vêtement salopette et un casque. J'ai perdu son script qui est en carton. C'est difficile de trouver un corps MTM pour les barbies noires car elles ont une multitude de teints. Peut-être la barbie handicapée peut convenir. Cette barbie a une coiffure choucroute, je trouve que Mattel donne à beaucoup de barbies noires ce chignon, elles se ressemblent toutes. Son rouge à lèvres est un peu trop rouge.lLes vêtements de ces barbies sont de bonnes qualités, sauf les finitions dans le dos du tee-shirt de la quadra.Le coffret permet de représenter les métiers du cinéma au féminin, cadre, et pas seulement la coiffeuse où la maquilleuse.Barbie peut être productrice, réalisatrice, chef opérateur, et Star.Je recommande ce coffret et si vous avez la possibilité de leur attribuer un corps mobile, c'est encore mieux.
