I am prone to large ovarian cysts that can sometimes rupture. Even if they don’t rupture, they cause pain and cause my belly to bloat out like I’m pregnant. And sometimes I have more than one at a time. I felt a difference the first day or two after I started taking these. I was still a little bloated, but I didn’t look pregnant, I was able to eat a meal, and I wasn’t in pain. It’s been a week now and I can definitely say they have helped a lot! I don’t feel like I have a cyst anymore. Another reviewer wrote that it caused their stomach to make noises. I guess I experienced the same thing, although my stomach is usually fairly noisy anyway so it didn’t bother me that it was slightly noisier than usual. I started with one pill a day and quickly switched to two pills a day, which was better for me. I’m so glad I got this Ashoka. I already take chaste berry and dong quai for period symptoms and follow a diet for my IBS and possible endometriosis, but this is the only thing that gave me relief from my cysts.

The bullet points are not great for describing what this product really is and why someone should buy it (I write ecommerce content for a living, including on Amazon), so that's probably partially why there are no reviews as I write mine. I think I learned about ashoka on YouTube while looking into what can I buy to help lighten my heavy periods, and then I went looking for supplements that had the right kind of ashoka. I found these and decided to give them a shot after also looking at a few other products on Amazon. I've used these for two months now, and they do seem to reduce my menstrual flow. Waking up in the mornings on heavy days used to be a big issue, for example, because there would just be so much flow overnight and likely accidents, despite using the "overnight" pads. I sometimes would force myself to get up in the middle of the night and change pads just so that I wouldn't have to wake up to a huge mess. This is not happening anymore. But I am suffering from anemia now and have bad symptoms of it, so the damage has been done from dealing with heavy periods for too long before finding something like this. I am not sure they're helpful for menstrual pain. I am not someone who regularly has cramps, but I also was taking chasteberry extract supplements for the last probably 3 years before trying this. For me, chasteberry extract was great for eliminating or reducing pms symptoms and cramps, as well as making my menstrual cycles incredibly regular (which they absolutely used to be unpredictable--I am going through perimenopause, btw, so all of that and the heaviness have all gotten significantly worse than they used to be). But they did nothing for my heavy periods, which is one of the main reasons I was looking for supplements in the first place. Prior to taking chasteberry extract, I'd have cramps sporadically. So far, I have cramped a bit here and there--nothing too bad--while taking these ashoka pills, and my feeling is that taking Excedrin (which I often take to prevent migraines) helped with the cramps, not these pills. I usually take these at least once a day, and certainly the week before my period and during my period I take them twice a day. I don't feel like my period is as regular as it was with chasteberry extract, but it's not like it was before, i.e. every 3 weeks or so. I could be wrong and it could be more like every 28 days with these as opposed to every 30 days as it more so was with chasteberry extract--but it's definitely not a full month between periods with these, for me, which I'd prefer a full month. I would honestly say the only real benefit I've noticed with these is the reduced flow, and that's what I was most looking for. As long as I'm not having periods every 20 days or randomly and not having really bad pms like I used to, I'm happy. I am not sure what is meant by "congestion," i.e. but I think they are referring to constipation. It definitely doesn’t help nasal congestion. The one bad thing is my digestive/urinary system seem to make loud noises before and during my period since being on these. I had a fairly noisy day or two at work recently, my first week at a new job, while on my period. Kind of embarrassing. But I will order again.
