My observations: This mixes really well. Even with milk, it's not gloopy, but tastes pretty similar with water. It's generally a few more g of protein than the 'normal' whey powders. Taste? It's made from peas so it's gonna taste a bit 'green'. However, it's refreshing as its not artificial. I opted for Vanilla, and can recommend. Texture wise, it is smooth, but also has a slight 'graininess' to it - I guess this is the pea powder, but it's not off putting at all. I'd buy this again over whey.

After reading the reviews, I thought "can't be that bad?". I've tried the Bulk whey protein vanilla version which I like a lot so I figured some of the reviews might just be over-exaggerating but... yeah... tastes awful. It has a grainy texture which is bearable when mixed with fruit for a smoothie. I just really couldn't hack the weird after-taste. I tried to push through and brainwash myself into liking it but sadly no... I think the Bulk team really need to revise the recipe because it doesn't taste right. I guess this would be suitable for people who want a cheap vegan protein powder option - ideally if you have weak taste buds and don't mind the feeling of fine sand in your drink.

I’ve been using this almost daily for a year now, have it on subscription, really like it! Versatile and can use in smoothies but also cakes, with yoghurt etc. never goes lumpy and doesn’t have any weird after taste. A good blend of different protein too.

UPDATE. As mentioned below, I settled for a smooth at 4:00. When I’ve had it (followed by a cup of tea!), instead of cake, I feel I have more energy for the rest of the day, and now look forward to having it. If you put the milk into the goblet before the powder, I found it blends ok - though I’m not using a full portion of powder. PREVIOUS REVIEW When I opened this packet, it smelt superb. I was looking forward to adding it to my musli. I soon regretted it. It has a strong background flavour which completely overwhelms the flavour of anything else, and definitely the vanilla I had chosen. I tried adding it to my fruit and yoghurt with the same effect. I have settled on blending it with milk and a satsuma and just drinking it as a health product which doesn’t taste too brilliant. I will try an unflavoured one next time and see if I can add it to gravy. Maybe the flavour will blend better with savoury than sweet. The powder doesn’t blend in too brilliantly either. So far I have put it into the goblet before the liquid but it tends to stick to the side. Will try liquid first next time and report back if it works better.

I was a bit dubious due to some comments about taste and texture. Price is great much cheaper than others. I was using a whey powder which tasted great but had to change as allergic to it. Got this and the taste is really good - honestly. I like it. I mix it in a blender and texture is fine. Will stick with this. No complaints from me!

Mixes well,smooth but it has sweetner added. I've got the vanilla version so the taste is great(because of the sweetner). it has some other nasties added so I will not buy again

I understand this is a vegan protein shake,but whoever created this protein shake, deserve to go to the j***. I mean it taste like a piece of powdered cardboard!! Designer, have you tasted before launching it ? I have the vanilla flavour, but truly, does not taste much. It might be good for my body, but I have to add sweetener,honey, or peanut butter to make it drinkable. Thanks Bulk.

Excellent lorsque l'on sait ce que l'on absorbe. J'ai lu plein de commentaires risibles sur la texture ou la solubilité, mais bon sang ! C'est de la poudre de pois et des farines végétales, en aucun cas la solubilité est parfaite. C'est même rassurant que la texture reste granuleuse en bouche. À lire certains il faudrait avoir l'impression de boire un soda pour que ce soit plaisant. Donc en toute objectivité et sans affaire de goût : produit de qualité et non mensonger, la récupération musculaire est très bonne et sa composition permet de passer à côté des principaux allergènes (sauf soja) présents dans les solutions plus classiques (lactosérum, sucralose, etc). Le format sachet est classique mais sa fermeture est plus pratique que chez la concurrence et plus hermétique également. Oublier un shaker dans un sac est moins punitif qu'avec du lactose, le produit tourne beaucoup moins facilement et semble plus facile à nettoyer grâce à sa solubilité moindre, donc accroche moins au bouchon. De manière plus subjective, le goût est particulier car surprenant, mais au final c'est agréable, on sent le côté végétal tout en profitant d'un arôme de vanille (goût sélectionné sur ma commande), la stavia sucre un peu fort à mon goût mais c'est très personnel, je consomme peu de sucre au quotidien. La texture fine, légèrement poudreuse n'est absolument pas problématique, c'est même agréable avec le temps. J'espère que ce commentaire vous aura été utile. Belle journée.
