Excellent sturdy bread knife
Bought this as I bake all my own bread and slice it as soon as it has cooled. I thought I deserved a decent knife after struggling with some cheap old knives.The knife is quite weighty compared to my old ones - it feels strong and solid.The blade cuts through the crust well so there is little crushing of the soft bread inside - much better than my old knives.I have been able to cut quite thin slices with it right to the end.I am really pleased with the knife and highly recommend it.

Excellent knife, poor choice of packaging
Bought to replace one broken in a set (these are highly brittle knives so they do snap easily if dropped). Good knife, sharp blade that cuts very well. Came quickly but packaging was extremely unsuitable...far too big a box

Cut through sourdough crust
Bought this after being defeated by the crust of a sourdough loaf. After reading a few online reviews this seemed like a good performer in a sensible price range. I also read advice on the technique (sawing motion without pressing downwards) and can confirm that this knife passed the sourdough test with flying colours. A good buy.
