It's a great apron. Looks amazing! It was just a little heavy for me. (5'2")

The men in my family mostly go to barbers to get their hair cut and beards trimmed.But, every now and then, they let things get a bit long and discover they can't get into the barber in a time frame they want or need.I'm not trained in hair cutting by any means, but I raised three boys to be men and most of their childhood, I cut their hair because they liked it super short or basically shaved close to the scalp during summers, when their thick curly hair would get really hot. They worked construction with their dad and played football at school, so they wanted short hair.I have an old apron that I have used for more than 30 years to cut hair. And I admit it catches so many small hairs. I cut outside or in the garage, to reduce tracking in hair, but always have to shake the apron pretty vigourously to get as much hair off as I can. It's not a great system and I know it. The apron literally hangs in the garage because it clings to hair.I got this to reduce some of that.I love the pockets, lol. I never had a pocket before and it's nifty to hold a comb or neck brush.I also like that I can take it outside and shake it a fews times and get rid of all hair completely. That is awesome. I also like that if I have to clean it, I can just wipe it down.I really don't have much to complain about with this apron.Now, as I said, I am not a professional and I cut hair about four times a year, and always in summer. I have no idea how this holds up to daily use.Having said that, I can say that the workmanship on this is good. The material is a fake leather, but doesn't feel like plastic junk. It looks nice.The seamwork is good on the pockets, straps and finished edges. The thread used is appropriate weight for the material and expected use.If I saw my hair stylist or the barber in town using this, I would feel like it was a professional upgrade and would think highly of them for the upgrade: I'd likely think it was leather, lol.I figure this will be used for more than the random buzz cut, though.I think this may be transitioned to be the apron I use when I use the outdoor griddle and want to keep oils and greasy sauces from my clothing. I have an apron for that too, but it has lots of stains and I'm getting a bit embarrassed to wear it, lol.This feels like, for the price, it's a great value and definitely would be something I would gift to someone else without hesitation.

Update: After washing and line drying the apron the smell has completely gone away. And I find it to be more comfortable to wear. It still is a bit stiff to wear but that is just because of the thick material it's made of. And I have to say it also does a wonderful job keeping the hair out of my clothes!The pockets are nice to have I just wish they were a little bit bigger (not taller) and easier to get into. And I also wish the straps were longer and of better quality.I must also say that it is nice to see that the company appears to truly care about their product and customers satisfaction . And that they actually read the reviews and want to try to make things right if they can. You just don't see that often anymore. I appreciate being able to try and give my honest review of their product.This apron will be ok for my intended purposes. I am not a professional hairstylist but I did get this because I cut my family's hair. I was hoping for something that would keep the hair off me and out of my clothes lol. I think this will do the job. But I have to say it does have a pretty terrible smell right out of the bag. I haven't washed it yet so I can't speak to the smell after washing but I sure do hope it goes away.The apron itself is very stiff to wear and all the straps seem to be cheaply made and a bit on the small side. The pockets are nice to have but I find them to also be pretty small and tight unfortunately.My personal opinion is that I don't think someone cutting hair as a profession would probably like this apron much. But for hobby type work it's probably fine, especially if you are a small framed person.I am hoping that with time and more use it will loosen up and the smell will subside...but only time will tell. At this point I probably would not consider purchasing the apron again.

This apron was made of much heavier material than I expected. It's still comfortable though and the thickness is a good thing as nothing so far has gotten through this and things wipe off easily. I've actually used this for painting and indoor gardening (repotting) and I really like all of the pockets to keep things handy. The only negative is this may be a bit heavy if you're petite, the feel is definitely more of a salon work apron than a lighter cotton version for cooking or crafts. But it works great for staying (mainly) clean when painting. Workmanship seems great, seams are double stitched and no loose threads.

The leather material makes this easy to clean, I always wash it in cold water on delicate and allow it to air dry, it’s very nice with multiple pockets that I store clips on and it even has a phone slot! I get so many compliments from clients about how professional it looks, and I enjoy how comfortable it feels. I highly suggest this to any stylist, barber, nail tech, etc.
