I have a pair of nubuck booties I wear all summer, which means sometimes I'm caught in a flash storm. My first bottle came empty having leaked completely during shipping. Its second was perfect. I sprayed this outside which turned out to be important since the protectant comes out as a fine mist with a wide range. It's colorless and has a very mild odor so it probably wouldn't hurt anything else it touches, but if you wanted to avoid that it would be hard to achieve. The first part went excellent. I had cleaned and brushed the nubuck before spraying. It dried quickly. It looked fine after a second brushing. The second part was hoping these booties didn't get wet but seeing what would happen if they did. That came a couple weeks later, they got sprayed walked through puddles with some other people who weren't as gentle. They held up well. That's what we ask of this product, so 5 stars.

In the past I had several different cleaners & "protectors" for all of our different types/materials of shoes so I was happy to see that I could not only use this on our UGGs, I could do our sneakers etc as well! I've used aerosol sprays in the past so the spray pump was a bit different but if you've ever used one of those continuous water mist spray bottles, it's the exact same idea so I got the hang of it quickly & was able to get an even, fine mist coating.As mentioned I did a few pairs of UGGs & several pairs of sneakers & they came out great. The only thing I didn't like was having to wait 24+ hours to repeat the process. During certain seasons it can be inconvenient to put certain shoes out of commission that long & my children repeatedly forgot & would wear their shoes. The second coat does seem to be needed for better protection too because they didn't seem quite waterproof/stain-proof without it.Either way, I still have a fair amount left so I'll just try to plan better & use this as soon as we get a new pair of shoes. I didn't even think to use them on crocs until I saw them on the listing photos & that will be great for summer because the light colors can get ratty looking pretty quick!

Do not use or get this product. It ruined my white shoes and now they are permanently ruined. This was what happened after two coats of spray.

I don't know how effective this product is. Using the spray bottle was a feat of patience and I only used it on 2 pairs of shoes.
