Superb wheels at a lower pricepoint than others of similar quality.
For 7 years i rode a Motobecane Sprint bike with Vuelta XRP road wheels, 20-24 flat spokes, for 10 spd, i rode this bike many many miles, pot hole roads, hills, side roads, gravel and rough asphalt shoulders, and these wheels never let me down. These wheels just ran smooth as silk. I am 6 feet and 215 pounds, and the Vuelta wheels that came on my Sprint were basically bullet proof. Over the 7 years i had my Sprint, i never had to re-true the wheels. ON this evidence i bought another pair to have as extras on the 853 bike i have now. I love these Vuelta wheels, the XRP 's that came on my Sprint were 10 speed, these XRP Pro II's are made for 11 speed. For the price point and utter durability i say you cannot beat these for value!

Poor freehub engineering
This is my first ever Amazon review, that's how strongly I feel about this product. This wheel set is great... while it lasts. It's light, it's sexy, and it's dirt cheap. However, my freehub gave out after less than 1,000 miles and from what I've read on bike forums, this is not at all uncommon. Solid rear wheels that are well-constructed last you much longer than that. A further testament to how poor these wheels are is that no bike shop of any repute has ever heard of Vuelta. And lastly, since these wheels are not compatible with Shimano freehubs, you're stuck replacing poor quality Vuelta parts with poor quality Vuelta parts.Do yourself a favor and BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

Awesome wheel set
Awesome wheel set. I been running these on my bike for a while now, and they work great. Very low bearing friction. I spun both while mounted on a truing stand, just to see how long they would spin. I've never seen a bike wheel spin that long before coming to a stop, amazing! They have spokes that are flat for most of their length, which is a bit unusual. The flat side is perpendicular to the direction of rotation.

Defective From Manufacturer
After receiving my wheel and installing it I detected a grinding sound from the wheel within 100 miles. I took my bike to local Trek dealership and after inspection they told me the wheel was defective from the manufacturer. Very disappointed and haven't been able to cycle. I had to return the wheel and hoping they will refund my money. Too Bad I liked the wheel while it worked for 3 weeks

Narrower than expected but still a good deal for the money
Just got the wheels yesterday and haven't had a chance to ride them yet. First impressions ... I checked them on my truing stand and both wheels were true out of the box. The rims are pinned (not welded) and the rim seam is visible on both wheel. The rear wheel was ok but the seam on the front wheel wasn't perfectly smooth and it took some fine sandpaper and steel wool to smooth out the seam. The wheels are also significantly narrower than I expected: 13mm inner width and 19mm outer width and they were slightly heavier at 2070g combined weight w/o the skewers, which are steel and relatively heavy at 155g total. The narrow width is an issue for me and I'm contemplating returning them to try and find something a little wider that will take a 28c tire (max on these is 25c).

Great wheels!
Wheels are a little on the heavy side but roll fast and true. Considering I weight in at over 200 lbs these wheels are holding up and performing well. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an in expensive set of wheels.

Spin good, heavy tho and Free hub became gritty within 1 week and got a lot of play in it.also rim profile seems to cause holes on inside of tubes

These wheels were perfect for rehauling my brother's vintage bike. Although it was a tight squeeze on an old steel frame that isn't exactly 130mm in the back, they fit just fine. I installed a 9 speed Shimano cassette on the rear wheel. They were trued when I received them. Absolutely a great and cheap upgrade for someone looking for making their bike a little more sporty.
