Review: Find out how this very important organ works. - An absolutely wonderful book packed with useful information about an important but underrated part of our bodies. I enjoyed reading all the fascinating details of how the entire system works, from mouth to sphincter muscles. Very useful when you wonder why you shouldn't eat too much sugar and white flour and why you should consume lots of fresh vegetables. The information is easy to assimilate and the style of writing is humorous but also serious about the scientific facts and research. Review: Wonderfully informative and entertaining read - Loved this book and have recommended it to my family and friends. It is very informative, learnt things about my innards that I've never heard about ... but its put across in a entertaining very 'readable' way. Would say this is a book everyone should read and taught in schools to give children an idea of how their guts work and more importantly how to look after them!

A thoughtful and fun read throughout
Giulia's book is a thoughtful, fun look into the world of our gut and dependent internal bits and bobs. The insights were what drew me in, the writing & lighter moments kept me reading, and kept me learning. The additional little tangents, such as sea squirts and their brain trick (i won't spoil it), help move the reader along. I'd highly recommend it as an enjoyable read on a subject everyone should be more mindful of.

Gut instinct told me to buy it!
Not read completely, but an interesting book with an odd subject. Nicely written in a sometimes humorous fashion. It's amazing what you can learn by reading it.

Its worth reading… many of us are completely oblivious to the fact that our gut is such a nuanced and complex system… if we give the gut what it wants.. it will give us what we want.. and what a detailed knowledge has gone by in developing this book… highly recommended
