Best generator for the money!
Really NICE generator! I added the oil (comes with it), connected the battery (which also comes with it), and hooked it up to a propane tank and it fired up instantly! It is really quiet!! I have completed the break in procedure, drained the oil and replaced. Servicing the unit is really easy. The access panel can easily be removed without any tools. One really nice feature is it comes with a built in battery maintainer. When not using the generator, it can be plugged into an electrical outlet, to keep the battery fully charged. This assures the generator is ready to go when needed!!! I highly recommend this generator to anyone……especially if 240 volts is needed!

Fantastic Whole House Backup Generator
This is a fantastic Inverter Generator. I use it to power my whole home here in FL during outages during hurricanes. I don't have to worry about "Dirty Power" with my sensitive electronics thanks to a <3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). Having two fuel options gas and propane provides a big convenience factor by allowing me to use whatever is handy. For instance, if I have no gasoline, I would just hook up to my gas grill propane source since this unit is Dual Fuel. The unit is really quiet for what size it is. The remote controlled start and stop feature saves me pain from pull starting. It’s also parallel capable, so it can be daisy chained with another generator if you need extra power, but 11,000W peak power is a lot and I don't plan on using that feature, but it is certainly nice to have incase my needs change in the future. Of course it isn't as portable as a 2000W generator, but the 11,000W capacity is amazing. Only down size I can think of is the weight at 187lbs, but again, this isn't meant to be a generator you take to the beach or camp grounds although you could. That being said, it is still on the lighter end with weight compared to others of similar output. I highly recommend this item for anyone wanting clean power and enough power to run your entire home. It is a must have during hurricane season.

Great backup generator/inverter
Directions were easy to follow. Started up on second try, ran very smoothly. Noise was less than expected. Easy to move around, nice quality.

Sturdy and solid
Features I wanted (prioritized in order), which I found on this iGen11000DFc generator: An "inverter" generator (to get THD or Total Harmonic Distortion under 3%) A "Dual Fuel" generator (to run either Propane or Gasoline) An electric start (from a battery) with "recoil" or manual start option Size: Something close to 10,000 watts (or 10KW) to easily handle any one circuit in our home (hot water heater, electric range, electric clothes dryer, etc.) Transfer switch ready (so I can "plug the house into it") Able to deliver 240 Volt circuits (required to be able to "plug the house into it") Bonus feature: The "c" in the model name for Westinghouse indicates it has a carbon monoxide shutoff feature - to shut down if carbon monoxide levels from the exhaust get dangerous around it. Packaging was great. Assembly was easy. Adding oil was made easy with supplied funnel, etc. Started it up yesterday (on propane) - took two tries to get it to start. The second try, it started but ran very rough, misfiring regularly. Let it do that for a minute or two, then shut it off. Started it again and it started right up and ran smooth. I proceeded to test it over the next 80 minutes, hooked it to our home with a 50 amp cord, and tried various circuits in the home including a heat pump, fridge, freezer, computers with monitors, TV, etc. - all worked fine. Ran the house on it for a while. My wife forgot it was on and started the electric dryer even. No issues whatsoever. The generator handled them all just fine and behaved like it was just idling to do it - it never seemed to strain or struggle. I then disconnected it from the house and started it multiple times, different ways, with the key fob, even pulling the cord (which took two pulls to start it). Every time it seemed to work just great! Downside that I saw only after reviewing the manual in detail - it says that it's not good at cold temps with the included oil (cold meaning below 23 degrees F). I want this for winter in Maine. So, I plan to change the oil out to the recommended 5W-30 synthetic oil for cold temps sometime after the burn in period - but the manual says to use the included oil until the generator is used sufficient to get it through a normal motor burn in of about 5 hours (as I understand it from reviewing the manual). Would I recommend - "yes". Bonus - it was quieter than I expected it to be. That's why my wife forgot it was even running and started the dryer in our home - she didn't even notice it was still on from inside our well-insulated home.

Quiet and easy set up
Generator runs well. Didn’t put it under a full house load yet but very quiet and simple to set up. I’ll be running it off. Propane and auto start function will be convenient.
