I recently switched my buddy's food from dry kibble to home cooked food and I add this as topper. I couldn't tell you whether or not it tastes like beef, but my boy gobbles it down like there's no tomorrow. Woodstock is 100 pounds so he gets 4 squirts per day, two in the A.M. food and two in the P.M. food. It seems to working out well. No loose stools and his coat is shiny and smooth, like he just stepped out of the shower. If you are just starting your dog on salmon oil, you should start out with a small amount and build it up to the recommended amount over the period of a week or two in order to prevent any negative impact on their stools.The bottle was very well packaged for safe shipping. They have a good seal on the bottle and then it's sealed in a bag which is the best way to ship this type of product without it leaking out. The pump works well and is how I dose it out. The label explains how many pumps to use based on body weight as well as how many fluid ounces. I'd tried another salmon oil, but it leaked and oozed around the pump and just turned into a big mess. My one lad is on doctor's orders to have 2 pumps of salmon oil every day. I'm happy to report there is zero ooze or seeping with Chew + Heal Labs salmon oil. I think, based on their diving into their bowls, that they like this beef flavored oil better. I'll be canceling my current auto ship and updating to Chew + Heal's. I love that it's made in the USA. I don't know what magic is added with the beef flavor, but the no leak pump and the fact the dogs are excited to eat when this one is added, I'm a huge fan. Cheaper oils are no bargain if they're messy and oozing out of the bottle or if the dogs won't eat it! 10 out of 10 from me and my pack!

Dog says it is very good, and gives some zip and added nutrition to his dry dog food. His coat is too scruffy for the oil to impact it. Cats seem to think it is OK, but don’t look for it. Not sure about the beef flavor; still smells like salmon to me.

My Labrador LOVES fish and I always make it a part of her diet as I know its super good for her. This salmon oil is excellent as it means I can still give her the supplements she needs even on days where I am not giving her fish to eat. My puppy LOVES this oil. I too think it smells very nice. Not too strong but a lovely beef and fish smell. Fish has so many benefits to my puppy so I am very thankful for this oil which will now be a part of her daily diet. Comes with two caps, a pump and a regular cap so easy to use. This is a very good supplement for a very good price. Would recommend.

stay away! this smells like fish. it stains and leaks everywhere. and leaves a strong smell behind. both of my cats hated it too

My dogs love this. They definitely love it. I use a lumpish per dog each meal and mix with bot water on dry food. Works great! Could tell a difference in fur within a couple of days!
