Good product

The staff itself is pretty good. Locks firmly in place when extended and easy to unlock and retract. But the little bubble level is too loose in the slot and doesn’t sit in place firmly or consistently, so that’s not much use.

In a nutshell it’s very good. The whole thing is metal and the rigidity is superb, no bending at all in use when fully extended and carried at any angle.Its accuracy is spot on, I measured the length in multiple locations with my most accurate tape measure and it was bang on every time so you can be confident in the height. It has the two different uses with the measuring stick and also the ground lie which, when used with a laser level on a tripod and establishing the height of the tripod and laser, gives a good reading of exactly how wonky your so called level garden is.It has the locking pop out, err locks, which secure each of the 5 meters in place a metre at a time, they don’t go anywhere when locked in place and take a good push to release, they lock in each of the 5 points and you can lock in all, any or none by choice.The clip on spirit level is a bit weak, it just slots over the gap in the body and doesn’t clip on or anything so it’s easy knocked, I used my post level and secured with ground spikes. You can, have to, adjust the little level to calibrate it to level with the adjustment screws before you can trust it.It also comes with a storage sheath which keeps it all clean and it’s a good yellow for visibility.It’s a very well made and accurate extendable measuring and ground levelling stick. Well worth the money.
