I love Lavender Violets dip powders! The colors are great and I can leave my nails alone for 2-3 weeks with no chipping or breaking. That said, there is a learning curve for using dip powders. Make sure your base liquid is spread evenly and then allow the product to fully try after every dip (brush off excess dust before applying more base liquid!). If you wear your nails long, make sure your tips aren't too thin from prior applications (I just cut mine back and it made a huge difference; I plan to grow them out again but needed a fresh start with my tips). Yes, the bottles are small but you can save the powder that comes out by setting the bottle inside a cupcake liner or coffee filter, then dumping the excess back into the bottle when you're done. YouTube is a great resource for tips and tricks. On a separate note, I first tried Lavender Violets when I started doing my own dip manicures, tried another brand, then came back to Lavender Violets because the quality difference was pretty big. This brand is great for beginners and experts!

Firstly, let me start out by saying this is my first ever dip powder. I usually go to the salon to get my nails done but 36 colors for the price was too good to pass up. I've been on the fence about purchasing dip powders for about 2 years and I just finally pulled the trigger. MAN I wish I would have bought this 2 years ago!! I was skeptical at how great they could be as I am accustomed to getting tips/dip at the salon. The process took me a little over an hour for my first try. But as you can see, the results are pretty darn great! The colors are so vibrant and the slower you are, I think the better they turn out. They dry nearly immediately which was a huge relief. The best part? They are so HARD just like if I would have gotten them done at the salon. I can't believe how not flexible they are with no "curing" or UV lights! Pro tips; 1) buy the bundle under the "frequently bought together" section, you'll need those tools! The set should be sold with an example of each color as it's hard to tell which one is which when they're in the jars. 2) be SURE to file your nails right before you apply the activator. This makes those tiny little bubbles/dots disappear completely. 3) the slower you go the better they turn out! Seriously I'm so in love with how they turned out, I will definitely be purchasing more. More $$ doesn't always mean better! Take a chance with this set, you won't regret it. And even if you do, you can return it for free!

Beautiful colors. It applies good as long as you have a good base. And it lasts a long time. It’s lasted longer than the ones I got at the nail salon and it’s also a great way to save money if you want to have ur nails done. (Also I’m a welder so that’s really saying something about durability)

I wanted to love this so much. Received these quick and packaging was good. I’ve tried these 3x and decided to a review. The colors are not quite pigment as I had expected - mainly comparing to the color palette as shown here. I have to do at least 3-4 coats and this I do not like. 2 is most I prefer as I do not want my nails to look too thick. I just tried the teal and after 2 coats, the color still looks transparent. I also noticed that color or paint comes off faster than other dip powder I’ve used. I thought it was the 1st and 2nd time but after the 3rd try, I noticed the color or paint do not last. I made sure to apply thin layer of base but still, does not hold up color as long as other brands I’ve used. I gave this 3 star because of the quantity that comes with the box and the fast shipping service.
