One Year Later, and itโs Still a Beast
This monitor has been an absolute beast!! No ghosting, tearing, any of that nonsense! If you have been having issues with darker panels, this will solve your issues. Colors are vibrant, and brightness is what you want for being able to enjoy a wide variety of games. I have owned for a year now, and there is no looking back! Still no issues on the screen, and I have been playing competitive call of duty on it for the entire year, with Starfield and NBA2k filling in the gaps. Starfield looks absolutely incredible on this thing. Also, for anyone on console, itโs still a great option for 120hz caps I owned an Xbox series X before changing to PC gaming, and while having this monitor definitely made it more enticing to make the jump, I felt like it solved all my problems that I hated about other console monitors. Most were too dark, whitewashed, etc. The price is high, but itโs been high quality. Mounting on my swivel arm was easy, and itโs light enough for the cheaper arms too. Highly recommend, and what a year for gaming it has been!

Absolute Love
I Upgraded from an LG 83A-B IPS 144hz 1440p monitor to this. The color depth is amazing. I upgraded my computer, and honestly, it deserved this monitor. I agree with a lot of people: the monitor is almost more important than your graphics card. I gave my old one to my roommate, and he is very stoked to use it. Coming from a 32-inch ultrawide 1080p, he is blown away by the colors and clarity on this monitor. I do not use this monitor for long internet sessions, i use it for gaming, and when i step away from my desk for any reason, I use the remote to turn the monitor off. I also use it for light college homework online. I make sure that I do the pixel and image cleaning once a day, if not more when I am using it. I am hoping with this, and LG's other care settings that this monitor will last me for years, I typically use it less than 24 hours per week.

Wont let you down
Configuration of this was a bit tough to start and the text clarity isnt the best but my god is the image quailty just sublime. Every color is just so vibrant and the blacks are inky as expected for the oled. I got this on sale for 600 and I believe I got a steal of a monitor especially seeing the competition at the price. The build quality is also pretty great but I cannot comment on the stand since I have mine mounted on a monitor arm. I think if you are looking to get into OLED then this is an amazing option.

I wanted to like this monitor
I always wanted to get an OLED monitor and once I saw that LG came out with a new model that was on sale at the time I went for it. The first one came with a big dent and crack from shipping, Amazon took full responsibility for that from shipping and offered to replace it. The first one had a few gray bars that were on the screen, I did some research into it, and apparently, itโs called OLED banding. I got a replacement unit sent for the last one due to the dent/crack and banding on the screen. The new one came with no dents or cracks but it has a problem with flickering and had A LOT of banding on it. I was hoping that the 2nd one would be much better than the first but I was disappointed when it showed up with those problems. Lucky Amazon took care of the problems and they are letting me send back both of the broken monitors for a full refund. Besides the banding and flickering the display looks AMAZING I love how all the colors pop and how the blacks on the monitor are truly black it would have been an amazing movie-watching/gaming monitor if I got one with no problems. Hopefully, in the future, LG will have better quality control on this monitor because I'd love to get one in working order.

Died after 4 months. Great monitor for gaming and editing!
Love this monitor! It has been a game changer with gaming and editing photos and video. About 4 months after I bought it, the power supply died. I had left my pc on while I went out thinking the display would automatically turn off and it didnโt. It was still on when I had returned home and I turned it off and it didnโt turn on the next day. For an $800 monitor, I was very upset. Thankfully it was still covered under warranty, so LG fixed it for me! Thank you LG!!! BUY THE WARRANTY! Now, I make sure it has sleep mode on after an hour and I turn it off if I know Iโm not gonna use it for a while. Since it was fixed, the backlighting doesnโt work which is a bummer, but thatโs not a deal breaker for me.

Beautiful OLED screen!
I'm loving this monitor so far! The 27" form factor is perfect for my 40" desk. The colors are bright and vibrant despite having a matte coating. I actually prefer having matte to reduce glare (got a window right behind me). I can't comment on the stand that came with the monitor though because I mounted it on my own stand right away, which saves a lot of desk space. I love the RGB lighting on the back!! It produces a soft glow around the monitor that looks very nice in a dimly lit room (as seen in my photo). I was planning on getting LED strip lights but feel like that's not necessary anymore. One common complaint I see is about "text fringing" due to the new subpixel layout on 27" OLEDs in general, not just LG. I was so worried about it that I got an LCD monitor before this one. I ended up returning it because I didn't like the display (washed out colors) and took a chance on the OLED. I'm glad I did because the text fringing is barely an issue for me. Yes, I can see it if I sit up reeaaaalllly close to the monitor or if the text is tiny. From a normal viewing distance, it doesn't impact me at all. Things like reading web pages and documents and chatting in MMO games are all perfectly fine to me. There's some vertical banding, but it's only present on a gray background. In normal content/usage I don't see it. Most OLEDs have it to some degree, so I don't really mind. LG now offers a 2-year warranty for screen burn-in (info is on their website). That gives me a peace of mind if I see burn-in anytime soon. Overall, I recommend trying out this monitor if you're thinking about it! Gaming and watching movies on it has been a delight.

Excellent Monitor at a Great Value. LG Customer Service is a Nightmare.
Monitor is great. Low latency. Can get very bright. HDR and cleaning functions are good. Deducted 2 stars because my monitor arrived and it couldn't do the cleaning functions, which obviously means my monitor would eventually get burn-in. I did the dozens of troubleshooting steps and checked for firmware updates (there were none). It took HOURS of restating the same thing multiple times with LG support to get them to honor the warranty. Reps played games and told me that my ticket was sent to the engineering department and I would have to wait for a firmware update (the monitor has been out for years, there is no firmware update coming). Then a CSR told me they would call me from the personal phone on a Sunday afternoon to resolve the issue (stalling tactic). After more attempts, I finally got a hold of someone that would honor the warranty. They gave me a label to place on a box and I paid out of pocket to have it safely packaged and shipped. The turn around time was fast (less than 2 weeks) and I got a functioning monitor.

A huge improvement over the 27GR95QE-B.
The brightness has been almost doubled in some cases. SDR brightness potential has improved by over 50% which in this case is over 100nits brighter. I have a colorimeter in which I could do a hardware based calibration. With a 10% window the GR model achieved 209 nits where as the new GS model achieved 326 nits. In HDR, some other person measured 1185 nits in a 2% window. Here the GR model only measured around 600 nits. Some a little over & some a little under at this 2% window size. Colors still look fantastic. Every bit as good as the GR model. This is true in both SRGB mode for desktop & gamer 1 for HDR movies & such. These are the 2 best modes. They just so happen to also be the 2 brightest modes unlike the older GR model. Here the 2 brightest modes don't suffer any blue push & deliver very much of the artist intent unlike the brightest modes on the GR model. SDR modes don't have any Automatic brightness limits at least as far as running on the low or off peak brightness settings with a full white screen. On the high peak brightness setting, you may not notice any ABL activity but if you change it to the low peak brightness it become obvious that there is some limiting going on. You actually have to change the setting to notice this though so you will not likely notice in real usage. There is no ABL activity at all in low or off peak brightness settings. Some people like gamer 2 I have read elsewhere due to the extra color saturation. Colors pop more in gamer 2. There is a slight blue push though in gamer 2. I don't recommend anyone use Vivid or HDR Effect. This is not real HDR & it looks horrible. All in all it is most definately a worthy update & I wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you.

Brightness fix
Ye itโs the best monitor until they make it in a 25 inch type but itโs ok because you can resize it by yourself with nvidia control panel to make it look like a 25 inch. Brightness is fix, input delay is fast and itโs oled. My second monitor behind is the zowie xl2546k. Also the input lag is faster than the asus pg27aqdm. Itโs also better than the xg259qn 380hz ips. Worth it!

If this is on sale, buy it.
I had this monitor on my wish list for months and it went on sale for Prime Day so I had to pull the trigger. It was 34% off, or $786.58(CAD) which was the cheapest it had been since it was released. Honestly it is a lot of monitor for that price, this thing is beautiful. I have seen some people complaining that it doesn't get bright enough, but I am confused as to how. It gets bright enough to cause me some serious eye strain, even at 90% in SDR. Definitely recommend this as a main display. It is my first OLED so I will update if any issues such as burn-in arise.

Beast monitor
Low latency, great colours on a dark room. It is not as bright as other options, but for the price, itโs the best bang for buck you will find.
