Exceeded expectations.
I've never liked this costume from Magneto and I never thought I'd buy it. Then I saw it on sale and I had a $5 off coupon and decided what the hell.Not only do I love the figure, putting the other head and even the purple hands on my original Magneto makes him feel so much more complete (even though the purple doesn't match perfectly).The X-Men 97 figures I've seen did such a good job.

The "Master of magnetism" is front and center on my '97 shelf. He sets the stage and I love it. Get your fig a custom soft goods cape, dynamic flight pole, some electrical effects for his hands and BAM! you're set.

Quality Nostalgia
“X-Men ‘97” has blown me away so far. I don’t often buy action figures, but I love the design and character of Magneto in the show and felt the random urge to buy one. Opening the box made me feel like a kid again, which I imagine is by design. It’s a simple, well sized, high quality action figure.My only criticism is the box was slightly damaged in the upper left corner as you can see in the pictures. So if you’re one of those folks who like to keep their merch mint in the box, then the shipping may not be as delicate as you’d like. If you’re ripping the box open as soon as you get it, I doubt you’ll have a thing to complain about.

Good figure, damaged box
The figure itself: I love the sculpt and the paint job quality, especially for the figure’s price range. Articulation is decent, and the figure fits my NECA stands. The head and hands are easy to swap on and off without needing to heat the figure, and the fact the figure even has those is a bonus in my opinion.Based on the figure itself I’d love to give this 5-stars, however:Delivery: this figure was package by itself in its own box, which seemed reasonably sturdy, but the plastic around the card still came damaged, so either it was packaged already damaged, or it was damaged during delivery. Fortunately I am not an “in the box” collector as I prefer my figures to be displayed, however this is a factor that’s important to many collectors so I have to lose a star for that aspect.
