This keyboard implements the equals key and the parentheses by typing out the ascii codes, instead of sending ordinary keypresses that assume a qwerty layout. This makes those keys work correctly for non-qwerty keyboard layout users! Physical design: The individual key switches are also socketed, which was a pleasant surprise! It made switch replacement easy and a no-soldering operation. They also built this keyboard with a thin foam pad under the key switches, and a thick foam pad between the key switch frame and the PCB, which makes the whole thing very quiet, when using quiet switches. Small gripe: I do wish the F13-F15 keys would work on PC (by holding the FN key), but unfortunately they don't. It appears instead that the F13-F15 keys are only F13-F15 on a mac. On PC, F13-F24 make for great macro triggers (yes these keys are defined but are rarely seen on real keyboards). Another small gripe: the backlight is fairly useless, since the keys aren't transparent. I just turned it off. The FN key on the keyboard is only relevant to backlight settings and once you have the backlight set up, it becomes effectively an unused key. I am still very pleased overall. The keyboard feels right, it's quiet, and the equals key actually cooperates with my dvorak keyboard layout, unlike my previous 10-key keypad.

My new iMac came with a keyboard that doesn't have a 10-key and I absolutely hate it. I use the delete (not just backspace!) key all the time and I need the math functions to be laid out in an intuitive way in order to increase efficiency and reduce frustration. This little keyboard does exactly what I need it to do, and is visibly well made. The key clicks are also super satisfying! I'm definitely happy with my purchase!

I use a split keyboard and have this in the middle of the two keyboards. Due to the slight upwards angle it took some time to get used to. I was mis-keying a bunch when I first got it. But after a week or so, you get used to it. Easy to move around the desk too. It is a little on the bigger side, but I have a lot of desk real estate to work with.

UPDATE: Kisnt saw my review below and reached out to me, even though the return/refund window had long been closed. They were kind and helpful. They noted exactly what had gone wrong with my unit and are committed to further investigating it. They gave me a refund. EXCELLENT customer service. I have every confidence their products will continue to improve. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this in November and it is now April. It is unusable. I've kept it on a clean desk in a clean office. I don't eat at my desk. I've used compressed air. The amount of double or triple entries per strike for different keys demonstrates the low quality of the entire product. If it was just one key, there may be other explanations. Save your money...or rather, spend more money on a better product.
