Teddy Folding Chair

So I bought 4 different chairs from Travelchair to compare them all. I went for broke on these chairs because I was sick and tired of purchasing generic folding chairs from the local store only to have them rip after one season. SO ANNOYING.So I researched the Travelchair brand and felt this was the direction to go with regards to a better quality chair.I must say: Holy cow! Compared to local chairs for $8, these chairs are AMAZING! The quality and design are a whole new level. Every aspect of the chair is high quality. Rivets are high quality along with the stitching and the feet as well as the metal legs.This chair is unique from the others in that it has the mesh fabric and the stronger legs. I'm 210lbs BTW, so ... I thought I would get the chair with better support just for me!PROS:Quality. Just...Wow...These chairs are amazing! The quality of the chairs are already great but this chair is even better. Everything is considered! The stitching is the most important and I can see that every stitch has fittings on the ends where they will NOT come undone! The rivets are very thick and crimped in a way that will not come loose later. The feet are rubberized and really stick to the ground when camping. The legs are very, very strong and easily support me.The chair is adjustable too. I like that. You can adjust the arms and the back to accommodate different sitting positions and styles.The cup holder is super strength. Nothing will defeat this cup holder.Mesh fabric is ingenious. I live in Oregon so it rains a lot. We leave our chairs out when hiking and sometimes the rains surprise us. When we get back, I just wiggle my chair and its dry. The water never pools so a quick shake and I can sit in it. This makes other campers EXTREMELY jealous! Also, ash from the fire pit does not burn holes in the chair as the ash just falls through. Embers might but I'm careful about not letting my chair sit next to a raging fire when not attended!CONS:Comfortably. I'm really sad about this. I nicked the product 1-star due to this. It's not UNCOMFORTABLE but .. it's just not fully comfortable. Why? The mesh fabric is ingenuous like I said above, but it is not strong enough to support me so they built straps into the fabric. The straps are soft but when you sit in this chair, the fabric gives more than the strap so you feel the straps more than the fabric. This can cause your butt to fall asleep or other circulation problems. BUMMER! I usually don't sit that long in my camp chair so overall, I'm not too concerned by this but if you sit a LOT, you might not want this chair because of the support straps. I never thought of that until after I received the chair and took a seat. I love the chair and will live with this shortcoming but take this into consideration when purchasing.Weight: The weight of the chair is ... heavy! There is a lighter version of the chair but it's really expensive so .. I couldn't afford that one so I got this one. It's beefy! I don't really care since I don't backpack with this type of chair but for those that care about weight, this chair is not the lightest in the bunch. That said, I feel FULLY supported when I sit in it. I never feel like it will give. I could plop down in this chair with all my weight and not worry about it collapsing. It's BEEF! With Beef comes weight though.Ok...thats it. It's a camp chair. How much more can a person say? Mesh seats are great if you live in a wet climate! Just watch those straps!

Family get-togethers

I have had this Chair now for 7 years and use it just about every weekend to watch my son play soccer (except in the winter). This chair has held up great! No rips, tears, etc. The only thing that hasn’t held up well is the carry bag. That has now begun to rip (after 7years) at the bottom of the bag. But really, that’s the only problem I’ve had with the chair. I do wish the cup holder was a little wider so it can fit a Nalgene bottle but that’s ok. Definitely recommend!

We have had these for years and just bought two more. They hold up great and are very usable.

This chair is probably the best camping chair I have had the pleasure to own. It is sturdy but comfortable. It allows breathability when its hot and it stylish as well. Well done creating such an awesome product.

I bought this chair because it supposed to be light and easy to carry. My first impression when I got it was: "God, this thing is huge! And heavy!" It was built with a big person in mind, if you are 200+ lbs guy, you will probably like it, however, if you are 130 lb woman, do not buy it.

I used my chair for the first time last week for an outdoor concert. I love it. It is very supportive, and I didn't feel like I had sunk down in a hole. I have arthritis, and getting out of low, saggy chairs is a problem. The chair is very sturdy and I found the seat to be comfortable, the support straps did not dig into me at all.

The chair that was delivered on September 11, within two weeks the fabric had torn on the upper left support. I requested a replacement, but apparently you have to send the old one back first. That is a real issue when it is a bulky item and you need a box to return it in. Amazon customer support was of little help in this matter. Very dissatisfied with the service. Beware of this product.

This chair is exactly as described. We have taken them camping twice and they are very comfortable and built with quality materials. Our camping companions had chairs that were the same shape, bought at a big box store for $35 and the Teddy chairs were far superior in every aspect. Best money I've spent in awhile! Would highly recommend.

Well built chair. Size feels kind of small (4 Stars). I'm 5'6" 255 lbs. It is good to seat for short periods, for longer seating time I prefer the Deluxe Kelty Chair or the Bubba Travel Chair. The fabric is good for places like the beach as it dries quickly. Kitchener, ON. LDM.

Good design and materials so I am glad I got it after a long research!
