21366 Spanner Wrench for Kenmore/Whirlpool Washer HD Tub Nut - TB123A Compatible washing machine spanner wrench and washer wrench (1 pack)

Never used one before because I never had a need for one. A little lightweight but it got the job done. Excellent price.

I was repairing our washing machine and needed to remove the tub. I did not have this tool, and trying to remove the nut was very difficult. I tried using a flathead screwdriver with a rubber mallet with no success, so after repeated attempts I decided to purchased this wrench. While waiting for delivery I was able to remove the nut. However, when I put everything back together, the tool made the process so much easier. It appears to be durable, and it fit perfectly and was easy to use. Granted, it will likely be a one time use tool, but it was worth it for the time it saved me (and, for me, it isn't right to return a product I received value from using).

This worked great to get the locking nut off of my washing machine tub.

Worked great for my 110.20022013 Kenmore washing machine, top loading, made for Sears. I knew the tub nut needed to be rotated counterclockwise but nothing I was trying left me able to unscrew it until I got this spanner wrench. I also had a second set of hands with a rubber strap wrench to hold the tub steady since the tub nut was so securely in place. Once I got it moving it was so easy to remove, get down to the other parts I needed for my work, then to reinstall with just this spanner wrench and a few taps of a hammer. Prior to buying this, I tried with a hammer and screwdriver, a hammer and nail punch (but that was too hard and started denting the aluminum), tapping with some wood in one of the notches, and even using a large nut I had at home so I had more swinging distance, but nothing quite worked.

Fit perfect and worked well. Some are better designed or thicker material, but it worked fine for me and was inexpensive.

This spanner wrench fits on the tub nut just fine & it works well if you can keep the teeth of the spanner on the nut. It is very economically priced, so I can't complain. However, if there were a flange on top of the spanner wrench with a hole in the center, large enough for the agitator shaft, the wrench would not fall through while striking it to remove or tighten the nut. I actually made a flange & attached it with flat head screws by drilling & tapping the spanner. This makes it much easier to use. I believe some spanner are designed this way. It would probably cost more, but would be better in my view.

It fits rather loosely on the washer. Not sure why it could not have been made to fit tighter. I was still able to remove the twenty year old rusted in place washer. I had first tried without the tool but was not able to. So it was definitely useful.

Great wrench, made removal of the tub easy on our older Kenmore washing machine. Seems to be made strong enough for the task at hand. Functioned perfectly, easy to use, what a life saver.
