Beautiful Barbie mermaid doll, beautiful colors use it in the bathtub. We've had used it in a pool. We have had so much fun with this and it dries very fast. Great doll I am actually repainting her to look even more fintastic lol. I love how she has a bigger lower half and her hair color is awesome i now have all 4 of these dolls and each one is getting a whole new color theme to them, and earrings to match their color combo's, so as an adult collector I think their well worth the purchase and will be an nice doll display and a personal diy collection for myself! Can't wait to paint more in the future!

Cute Barbie! Great for fun playtime in the bathtub or pool swimming along side your mermaid friend and using your creativity to pretend you off swimming in the ocean! My daughter loves her mermaid doll and that she can play with it in water is great too!

Cute doll with soft manageable fantasy color hair at a reasonable price ($11) - who can pass on that? Not me! Body is sturdy curvy style. Shoulders rotate with lateral movement but arms are solid straight. Body bends at hips. Tail is detail-sculpted and bodice has sculpted detail as well. Painted in a color scheme to coordinate with hair. Great play-line doll at a reasonable price, came new in box in perfect condition and fairly easy to unbox. I got her to swap head to an articulated body with legs and use the mermaid body for a custom project. Very happy to find this doll at a great price.

This was a gift for charity. The doll is cute, and looks well made. I'm sure the little girl it went to will be very happy.

I had been looking for a Barbie mermaid for so many years now. I either found them excessively glamorized or extremely feminized. There were none that looked organic or simply down to earth until I came by this one who other than having a natural appealing face, is also slightly curvy in size to appear less girly, but a woman displaying a sensible grownup essence. The doll's warm dark skin tone seems all inclusive, non racial I meant, which is great for anyone to personally identify with. And that deep purple lush of long shimmery hair has got soothing lavender highlights on the front. The translucent twirling fish tail is highly designed on front, as well as on back, and, is also in a colour-blend matching with her hair, set over a bright pink on the lower backside. Then extending upwards toward the torso, the lower body has no exaggerated fancy designs, but is covered densely in natural looking scales of varying size, all in a single shade of a pale pomegranate-red. And whoa! It fluorescently glows, vividly, by the bedroom's blue light. This doll, unlike the other three available from this Barbie edition of mermaids, is the only one with no bodice shoulder straps. Because of this, it looks non-fabricated, very sea-originated and as if her chest is supported by a massive pearls-ornamented seashell; looking realistic by a faded out scatter of blue and white, which is one of the few reasons, of all, she became my first choice. And finally, that small, ivory stained tiara compiled in white pearls and white shells, it fits just right with the soft features of the mermaid overall. Yet, it's amazing how the softness of this contrastingly coloured doll is ironically glimmered even when a low light reflects on her, especially on her scales, as if it does in real on a wet water body of a true aquatic lifeform. Now available at this lowered selling price, this sublime figure, just like her friends displayed on the back, comes in a box which has a wide rainbow spreading out across the inner front top. A mermaid or a merman is basically an amalgamation or rather a sphinx form of a human and a sea life. As we all know, it is a living form transforming into another living form. And by bringing a rainbow spectrum into picture like that, I get the feel that Mattel in their subtle ways of being diversity inclusive in these recent days, has alternatively (in the backdrop), succeeded by showing a moral support and an early acceptance for kids, also for the brands loyal grownups, encompassing all (genders), who identify themselves with their's physical and mental personal Trans-itioning stages in life. Notably, I even appreciate the gender neutral colour palate used to portray this effect on this doll in creative shades of pink and blue which is coordinated so well. The inner message is about building courage and self confidence over a colourful array of possibilities detached from restrictive societal, cultural and traditional bearings, I guess 🧜‍♂️ .

My granddaughter was over the moon with this.
