Go with your size if you have a small tush
I typically wear a small and the sizing guide recommended a small. I didn’t read the reviews before my purchase so that is the size I went with. I have a small waist and wider hips, and thicker backside. ☺️ Upon trying them on, it was a straight 🐪 show. Every bit of fabric found itself in every bit it could find. The waist fit just fine though. However, I knew if I took this on a walk I’d be digging them out of every spot you don’t want them in about every two steps. So I returned them and based on another review, I ordered a large. They are a hair baggy around my waist but it’s so much more comfortable. I have two trips soon and now I can feel comfortable while trailing, hiking, and walking miles on end. For reference I am 5’2”, and average 135 pounds.

The material of these are amazing. I have to say I was not expecting them to feel this comfortable! I purchased the gray color which I love for spring. I am short ( 4ft 10in) so I will say they are a little longer than I would like but this happens will all of my pants. Still super cute fit! Now I want them in every color :)
