LIAQICHA Chicken Nesting Box, Wood, Modern, Durable, Weather Resistant, Indoor Poultry Bird Housing Nest

This is a quality nesting box. The construction of this box was easy. The directions for this nesting box were straight forward and easy to follow. The chicken that we had left went right to it and laid the egg - we placed it where it had been laying the eggs. We only had one chicken at this time, and she seemed to like it. We let her free range, so this was in a protected spot. I don’t know if it was placed in the big coop it would have survived, chickens are pretty gross and we clean things up by spraying it down with water, so things might have been a little rough on this box. Unfortunately, just a few days after putting this together our last remaining chicken lost her life in a tragic confrontation with a raccoon, but it did work while we had her. I think we might be done with chickens, now. But, if we were to do it again, these would be a good choice.

I took this outside to the coop to construct it, pulled out all the parts and then? I had to come back inside to look at the pictures in the ad to even remember what it is supposed to look like. Putting it together was easy, but not obvious. Like, I expected the woodgrains to match direction, but they don't. That matters because one side of the board is longer than the other. The screw holes on the side pieces are there, but don't match to anything on the main board. Besides the guesswork it means a lot more cranking on the screwdriver by hand. Good to mention: the whole thing goes together with the included screws, and there is a small sized screwdriver included. Always a nice touch to include the screwdriver so I don't have to search through toolboxes to find the one that fits. I'd planned on using nesting boxes inside the coop, this is clearly designed for outside. Which is fine, as some hens prefer outside and hide eggs if there is not an outside box. The construction of this box is sturdy enough, but I'm not sure the wood will put up with PNW rain and weather.

This is my 4th nesting box of this type and my chickens perfer this type over metal ones we have or homemade ones we have. These are very easy to put together. This particular one didn't have directions though, not even a picture and no pieces labeled. We knew how to put it together from other ones like this that did have directions, but if we hadn't we would have been mad there weren't directions or even a picture. Anyway, easy to put together since we knew how it went and chickens love it. It is lightweight and easy to screw to a board or the wall. Easy to get in and out of. We've had this type for 6 months and they still look new, so I'm happy with the quality even though they may appear cheap at first since they're so light. But, again, our chickens prefer this type over others so this is all we buy now. They look great all in a row along the side of the coop.

This nesting box is different than what I thought it would be. I had to go online to get the Instructions to build it. The wood is really soft and cannot with stand an electric drill. The wood will split if you attempt to. I didn't use all of the hardware that came with the nesting box because I didn't think the wood could handle much more than I already utilized. I don't know if the nesting box could make it through one or two seasons. It's not as well made as I thought it would be. Only time will tell. I wouldn't recommend this product if your wanting a nesting box that'll last a few year's.

I love the real wood used in making this chicken roost...it has a beautiful grain. The kit for this comes ready to assemble, and it's super easy. It comes with all the hardware needed for assembly...even the hangers. My chickens prefer this roost over the box roosts I have in their coop. I think it's because I hung it on the door where they get a "bird's-eye view" of everything going on in and around the chicken yard. They take turns laying eggs, or just knock each other out of it. LOL So far I've collected 12 eggs a day in this roost alone. If anything else, I've enjoyed watching them argue over it; I call it "Chicken TV". Excellent craftsmanship and top notch quality. Love it!

I recently purchased the Chicken Nesting Boxes for Laying Eggs, and unfortunately, my experience with these nesting boxes has been quite disappointing. First and foremost, the quality of the nesting boxes is severely lacking. The construction feels flimsy and cheap, with thin materials that bend and warp easily. This not only affects the durability of the nesting boxes but also compromises their ability to provide a safe and comfortable environment for my hens. Additionally, the design of these nesting boxes leaves much to be desired. The size and shape of the boxes are inadequate for accommodating larger breeds of chickens comfortably. This results in cramped conditions that can cause stress and discomfort for the hens, potentially impacting their egg-laying productivity. Furthermore, I've encountered issues with the nesting boxes not being properly sealed, leading to leaks and moisture buildup inside. This creates unsanitary conditions that are not conducive to egg production and can increase the risk of bacterial contamination. Installation of these nesting boxes was also more complicated than expected, due to the lack of clear instructions and poor fit of the components. As a result, I spent more time and effort than necessary trying to assemble and install the boxes properly. Overall, I cannot recommend the Chicken Nesting Boxes for Laying Eggs based on my experience. The combination of flimsy construction, inadequate design, and poor quality control makes them an unsuitable choice for anyone looking to provide their chickens with comfortable and functional nesting accommodations. I would advise investing in higher-quality nesting boxes from a reputable supplier to ensure the well-being of your flock and the success of your egg-laying operation.

My experience with the small wooden chicken nest box was a disaster. While the nesting box itself seemed well made and the wood felt solid, the lack of instructions made assembly a nightmare. Even though the wood feels solid, this WILL NOT survive outdoors in the elements for long. If your coop is indoors, this will be a nice nest box. Without guidance, I struggled to piece it together, resulting in frustration and wasted time. The absence of clear directions significantly hindered the assembly process, leaving disappointment and dissatisfaction. Despite the quality of the materials, I cannot recommend this product due to the sheer difficulty of assembly. Potential buyers beware: unless instructions are provided, may or may not be easy to construct.

I really like this spacious wood nesting box. It was easy to assemble. Even though no instructions were provided, it was pretty intuitive because you can sort of see how the pieces should fit together. The only part that I wasn’t sure about was whether the top piece should go on top or on the back but checking with the picture from the listing I realize it needed to go on top. The back is open so you can hang this nesting box in a chicken coop, which is exactly what I plan to do. I have been using a cardboard box for nesting boxes so now I feel that I have upgraded my hens’ lifestyle. They should be happy with their mama. The only minor flaw is that one corner on the bottom of the nesting box has a gap. The wood is not flushed against the corner. So it looks like they cut one of the pieces (the bottom piece) too much in one corner. Other than that everything seems quite good. After assembling it, it feels dirty. All the pieces are not loose or shaking. When I try to shake it a little little bit. The kit comes with necessary hardware, such as screws and a small screwdriver.
