This is a floating H track connector, which means you can use it anywhere along the rail itself. I happened to install it at the end of the track because that was the most convenient place to locate it.This connector comes with all the necessary parts to install it, as you can see by my own success. The wire that is used is very thick gauge, which is necessary if you are pulling as many watts as H-Track is rated for (2400 watts, in my case). The wire nuts provided are a bit small, and while I might have been able to make the connection, I found it easier to swap out for slightly larger wire nuts. This isn't uncommon, especially if you have thicker gauge wiring in your walls or light fixtures.This is an excellently made product, sold at a discount to and visually indistinguishable from other brands. What's not to like?

This device makes installing track lights easy. I used it to replace an old ceiling light and after dismantling the old fixture the installation of this adapter was very easy. Make sure the electricity is turned off before poking around any existing electrical outlet. I can recommend this accessory to anyone looking for an easy way to add track lighting to your home or office.

Well 1st off it didn't come with instructions so I have to remove a star for that. Otherwise it was fairly easy to set up and install wiring. These H track systems can be somewhat difficult to set up without instructions, but luckily I had some experience. The wire gage seems to be 12 gauge so that's a plus especially considering most household wires are 12 gauge. I had to come back here to amazon order page to see any type of instructions so that is a minus. But over all easy to install with a little patience and a screw driver. Over all it's worth the price if you intend to hard wire your H track railing onto the ceiling or wall.

I got this out of the mail and went straight to my waiting tracklight project. Snaps in perfectly to my H style track. The power wires are 12 gauge, probably way bigger than needed for modern LED systems, but this will handle a lot of load. Came with the mounting bracket and cover plate just as shown. Good unit.

I am planning to install a large H track lighting system, and this piece will be useful to supply AC power to the middle of a track, rather than the end. It seems well-made, easy to install, and the included instructions are very clear.

Solid unit with very thick (perhaps too thick) electrical wires that are hard to bend and might be overkill. The plastic shield is flawless on this one, made of decent plastic. The attachment base is reasonably solid, and the h-track insert works well.There's nothing that particularly stands out about the unit. It works. The bolts connecting the plastic shield to the base are made of weak metal and can strip. The accessory pack has decent bolts and decent electrical nuts. The color doesn't quite match the same brand's tracks, since the latter are more glossy and smooth and this is textured and satin.It's solid, but nothing to write home about.
