Well written
A great beginning to the Breeds books. I read this after I'd read other Breed books and was happy to see how these characters started out. So fun!

Gotta live fairies and little girls
I foresee thar I will read this entire series, One book at a time. Earthy. honest, and animalistic. I can o ly imagine the stories. Should be really good.

Best book so far of the series
I have read 4 books so far and this is the 5th one. From the onset I knew this was going to be a great read and was not disappointed. Although LL has mastered her formula of alpha male - badass female it kinda sound repetitive from one book to the other- even the dialogue are similar to her other books. Aside from the formulaic arc there's a tiny bit loophole in the last scene where the h was injured, I mean after all the planning and military background of all involved the one thing they forgot is a vest?? - anyhow it does create a sweet scene so LL got what she wants..

Haunting
This book was haunting and different from the other Breeds stories I’ve read. It was heartbreaking, but you knew that it would be okay in the end.

Book 3 - One of my favorites
I read this book when it first came out and I loved it then and love it now. This is one of my favorites of the Breed series. It is emotional with action and a dash of mystery. Cassie is the little girl who has a ‘fairy’ guiding her and everyone is trying to protect. Bad guys are after her and we learn why about halfway through the book. She is both wise and a little immature due to her situation. Dash is the Breed who has been able to hide in society. Lonely, emotionally afraid to get close to anyone, he comes in to save Cassie and her mother Elizabeth. Elizabeth is Cassie's mother and proves what a mother’s love is able to accomplish. She is strong, smart and knows when and how to stand up to Dash when he tries to dominate. Fair warning the sex is hot and steamy and would be crossing a line if the two (Dash and Elizabeth) were not willing participants. That is what makes the difference, the consent of both adults. The bottom line, this is well written, with great character's love story of people finding one another and becoming a family.Tempting the Beast (2003)The Man Within (2004)Elizabeth's Wolf (2005)Kiss of Heat (2005)

One of the three breeds books I really liked
Great story, great characters and not as many sexual situations

Good story
A good story early in the series. This version has been expanded from the original. A bit repetitive, but not nearly as much as Leigh’s later books.

An excellent read!
Elizabeth's Wolf, is one of my favorite books from the Breeds series. Dash, Elizabeth, and Cassie, are wonderfully written characters. They keep you captivated in their journey together. I could not put this book down! It is one of the few books, I can pick up at anytime and never get tired of rereading...Cassie, age 8, as she is being forced to leave her mom, while they secure her future safety: "And you better come back for me, Momma, or I'll hunt you like the big wolfs and when I catch you, I'll bite you."Need I say more?! It is just too precious!
