The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work, and Team with Positive Energy

I was fortunate to hear Jon Gordon speak in 2021 as a keynote speaker for a virtual conference I attended, and I have followed him on LinkedIn ever since. This year I started listening to his podcasts and then decided to read Energy Bus. I’m glad I did! It is a simple story with a profound message. Reading the book a few weeks ago has given me the courage to push our team forward through an uncertain environment at work, and have the courage to be louder and prouder than the negative people/energy vampires. I have the book out on my desk, and every time I see it I am reminded of the book’s encouraging message. I love that the cover is yellow! I just ordered the Carpenter and plan to read it next. I absolutely loved the energy bus! I came across this book after seeing a article about professional golfers, who use this book to shift their mindset. I spent a weekend really diving into this book and digesting it and I’m really glad I did. I can feel that it already is going to have Major impact on me and on the team I highly recommend this book regardless of whether you need any energy boost and are in a great spot

I liked how relatable the characters are in the story. I'd recommend to anyone that's looking to connect better with themselves and others. 5 star rating because of how nicely the ideas were put together.

The book doesn't seem to take itself too seriously, illustrating some points by introducing a children's book as an important piece of the puzzle our protagonist is trying to solve.It also doesn't go into great detail how he's solving some of the problems that he is facing in his marriage, which could have helped making it slightly more exciting to read.That's a little nitpicky, though, as there are many upsides to this book. You can read it in only a few hours time and you actually do feel energized following George on his little journey.I have read a number of books that have tackled a similar subject matter, so truth be told, I can't tell how well it's getting the point across for a reader that hadn't been introduced to many of the ideas presented in this book, but in any case, I still consider it a highly recommended read.
