Works great for my RV with free lifetime data
This product does look for and use the strongest signal from Verizon, T-Mobile, and ATT.Most of the time I get at least 20gb down which is enough to stream or do remote work. Itās small, rechargeable, and very easy to use.We have a travel trailer and sometimes leave our dog in the trailer. I have cameras, temperature sensors, smoke alarm, and thermostat I can control with Wi-Fi and those devices can send alerts via WiFi.This device provides 1gb of data free each month. That means I can leave it in the RV and access all of my devices from my phone when Iām away for free! The cameras I have record to an SD card in the camera (not to tge cloud) so the only time they use internet is when Iām watching video on my phone or a tiny bit of data when it sends me an alertItās also handy when I need internet in other places. If you just need unlimited internet for a day you can buy a day pass. If you need it for a month you can buy a month pass.Great device.

Works as stated .
This thing works GREAT ! Works as advertised. I do Farmers Markets and has worked at any remote markets that I have done giving me full Bar WIFI service . It comes with 1GB per month included and that will allow you to operate your cell phone to process credit card sales and I also operate my computer for google to look up Laser files . You will get about 16 hours with one 1 GB but it connects fast so I donāt use it the entire time I am at a market Injust sign on as needed. Unless your carrying this like on vacation you donāt even need a case because the box it so heavy duty it protects my device between markets . Would highly recommend this and it mean no expensive cell company device , no contracts and if you need more than 1GB it is very affordable.

Don't buy refurbished version.
I have generally been lucky with reconditioned/refurbished electronics on Amazon, but this one was a dud. I tested the device when I received it, and it worked well until the 1GB free data was used. A month later, while in Europe, I started to use the device and signed up for one month of unlimited internet, and the issues began:- The first attempts to get the device to connect didn't go well, and after two to three restart attempts, the device connected.- The device would then start to lose connection and have to be restarted.- Other times, it would stay on and connected for a longer period (the longest was approximately 36 hours), whereafter it would reboot on its own. Sometimes, a reset of the device would help.- Finally, the device gave up and went into a complete reboot mode, which would reboot every 2-5 minutes. During this "reboot mode," the device couldn't be shut down or reset, and it ran till the battery died. So, in the end, I decided to return the device instead of a replacement, as I suspect this was a defective device that was just repacked and shipped out again, and I lost faith that a replacement would be any better.I will likely go for a similar device since, when it was working, it was good, but I will buy it new directly from Simo and NOT from Amazon.

Ok but burns data fast
I really was hoping for a better rating. There isn't much competition of these type of devices short of just getting a sim or esim with router that also offers some free monthly data. This is my second Solis device. My other one is a 5G version. This review is for the Solis Lite 4G only.Device works but it should be reserved for emergency usage IMO. Of course, you still need good cell tower coverage but if your main cell network goes down, or when traveling, this device works well enough. But it's usecase ends there.Long story short.... I tested the device for 7 days, left it running as a failover device 'WAN2'. My main network has not gone down so, in theory no data, or minimal data, should have been used. This is not the case... The device burns around ~40mb of it's daily free 1GB. This means if you just leave it on, it will go through it's free data before the end of the month resets. And it also means, if you purchase data, you should assume some data will be burned/lost as well. The device uses purchased data first before using free data. So if you buy 1gb don't expect that you will have full access to that data.I find it is cheaper to pay for a 10$/month data plan with a sim card than it would be to leave this device running at all times as a backup internet.Checking traffic and seeing constant checks to cloudflare (1.1.1.1) dns servers. There is no reason it should check so aggressively (roughly every 5-10 seconds). At one point I caught a shopify IP being called as well. It has a long wifi password and there are no other devices connecting to it.

delivers on promise, has applications despite limits
it's pricey for a cellular to wifi portable. it makes up for that with quality construction and a large built-in battery despite a pretty small package. I got an inexpensive case about the same size (and color š) to hold charging cables ..although the case was about the same price as other units.the magic happens because the initial investment includes no-sim limited use just about anywhere around the world without a subscription. that's indefinitely ..or at least as long as the company exists.so no-sim, as in you can't even put a new one in (maybe, if you can wrench on it), that means that once the company is history your device and service potentially are too.so I still like it. it works wherever you go, then works free instantly. you get 1GB every month, more is possible but rather pricey so you have to watch it.it's purpose really is for when you can't find usually ubiquitous free wifi. for that it's fine.

Magic Internet Hockey Puck
This magical internet hockey puck device has more saves than Patrick Roy, of the Montreal Canadiens! Battery lasts an entire day plus, is compact, and fits well in briefcase. CONUS pr OCONUS, the connection is fast and speeds are amazing. Extremely helpful when there is no wifi or the wifi is slower than James May! Easy to use app, plenty of affordable choices for access, and I'm not bombarded with ads. Great value for the money. If you are on the go and need internets, buy one of these!!!
