10 x G9 18w Clear ECO Halogen Capsule Bulbs 220-240v Energy Saving 18w with 25w Light Output

Seem good so far! We originally wanted 10 watts but they were impossible to find, as anywhere we did find them, said 'currently unavailable'. We have a 6 bulb lounge light, and after a couple years all the original G9 bulbs blew. Originally having 6 X 25 watts, we found this too bright in a small lounge, and then we saw these and decided to give them a go. Even though these state '18w with 25w Light output' they do seem to give out a softer light then the original 25 watt bulbs we had. The lighting they give off is quite subtle, yet bright enough and so we are happy! My husband wore gloves to insert them, as my dad put the last ones in and didn't use gloves, he just wiped them off with some kitchen towel afterwards...which maybe wasn't effective enough. Delivery was quick, a good price, and I hope it's a while before we have to buy more!

I was looking for some G9 bulbs to go under a cooker hood. The space is very compact and all the led bulbs I looked at would have been too long to fit in the gap as they were all larger than the regular halogen G9 bulbs. These were a compromise promising a lower wattage but still compact in size. They arrived well packaged in individual boxes and fitted perfectly. I have only given 4 stars as I have only just fitted them and don’t know yet how long they will last.

I don't normally write reviews so what is different about this.Several months ago I bought a ceiling lamp and matching floor lamp, they have a total of 9 bulbs promising long life. (The first time I have bought G9 fittings). Nice to look at and suiting the room exactly.After 3 days the first bulb went followed rapidly by another then another ad nauseam. I have bought many replacements of different origins, with the same result.I bought these bulbs simply to make do, and give me time to buy a suitable replacement fitting, before giving up and binning the units.To my delight none of these bulbs have given out, and all have exceeded the expectancy of the others. So far so good long may they last.PS I bought these bulbs in February. Original review in April. It is now July and not a single bulb has malfunctioned. After my previous fiasco with bulbs this is brilliant and I thought it should be commented on.

I would recommend these. I bought a few sets from homebase - not cheap @ £5.99 for 2 bulbs - but they would never seem to last long even though they were rated to 2000 hours. Spoke to their customer care etcetc. Really made me question whether these halogen spot lights were really fit for purpose full stop.These bulbs have been in far longer than the Homebase ones ever did so on that alone I would recommend them, and they are better value too..I would say stick to the usual advice and do not touch the bulb at all with your fingers so as not to leave any grease/residue.

Good brightness but one or two of the bulbs only lasted a few hours.

Compared to other similar type lamps sold on amazon these lamps appear to have a much longer life time. I have had 6 fitted into our 3 wall lights and have not suffered a failure yet (approx 8 months)

I have put one in that's why only 4 stars, if it last a long time Iwill give the extra star also if it last I would not hastate to buyagain .
