My monitor weighs 8kg. Can this monitor arm really hold up?

Yes, the monitor arm is initially set at a strength value that can support a 5~6 kg monitor. If your monitor exceeds this range, you need to adjust the tension before hanging the monitor on it. (Please refer to part 5)

Does this monitor stand work with curved monitors?

As long as the curved monitor is 34 inches or less weighs less than 22 pounds and has a VESA mount it should work.

Desk is thick due to it having a drawer on it, will the monitor mount stilll work?

This stand fits for C-Clamp desk thickness from 0.39 - 2.76 inches, Grommet Base from 0.39 - 2.17 inches. You may measure it before purchasing.
