It's just too slow, even after hardware upgrade
I this laptop from currys and not Amazon, After receiving the laptop I found it slow and read the reviews which all said it was slow. My fault for not reading the reviews first. However, I ordered an 16gb RAM upgrade from Crucial memory uk together with an ssd and installed them. I decided to carry out a clean install of windows 10 and use office 365 together with mcafee antivirus. When the laptop wants too, it perfoms ok, but a lot of the time it just freezes/stops responding. All programs and os are upto date, no background scanning, just office 365 running onedrive. The sound is okThe screen is good and flips into a tabletBattery life would be good if I could run it on battery saver, however I have to keep it on high performance otherwise it will take forever to respond. The position of the right hand sided shift key is useless and is in the wrong place for a trained touch typist, this is because they made the right sided one smaller possibly to get another key in.Overall I do not like the performance of this laptop, even after upgradinng the RAM to maximum capacity and fitting an ssd, so, other than the cooling fan there are no mechanical moving parts

Appalling performance issues
My wife had partial funding from her course due to her disability and she added some of money to get this laptop. Like most others who bought this piece of rubbish from Curry's, we discovered it has the performance of road kill. When I realised just how bad it was performing I took a look at the hardware specs and was genuinely shocked to see a Β£600 laptop with such a pitiful CPU, GPU. only 8GB of memory and 100GB of HD storage. As someone who builds PC's I would be ashamed to sell this to someone for that price. All I can say is, if Currys is one of the companies that goes broke due to Covid, I won't be shedding a tear.On a side note. We have also found their post sales customer service is a joke also, stick with Amazon or another company with a decent policy on RMA.

do not buy,
Did not buy from Amazon but currys pc world. This is not a cheap laptop and I am very disappointed. I have had lenovo laptops before and happy with them but this is terrible! Very slow and with a loud fan which runs most of the time. It should be much better for the spec. Had to send it back under warrenty and the keyboard housing was replaced as the touch pad kept freezing. Now works ok but I hate it. Do not buy! oops missed the fact that the battery lasts for about 3 hours.....rubbish!

Yoga, more like Coma
It's hard to believe that anyone could build a machine that would run slower, and freeze more often than ones I purchased 15 years ago, but somehow Lenovo managed it with the Yoga 510...Want to surf the internet, then set aside a few hours, because that's how long it takes a page to open, and that's if it even does without locking up your browser, and God forbid you want to open more than one application at a time... on the bright side, however, I am now getting plenty of meditation time as I seek to calm myself after 30 minutes on the machine....Put it this way, 'CTRL+ALT+DEL' will become your most used keys as you seek to close down applications by any means possible after they've locked up... so in short, save your money and purchase a ZX Spectrum instead, they run smoother, faster, and load up applications far quicker.

Run Away from this Laptop !!!!
Super slow laptop, internal laptop fan whirls as if vacuum cleaner is running on full throttle !Opening an application takes minutes ; open couple of apps and you are done for the day. Screen display is good but if you are thinking of buying the laptop for doing some sensible work ; or multitasking definitely not the one for you. Either it could be a bad model I bought or bad chipset but what ever it is, thinking of exchanging it with a decent intel chipset of some other brand. Goodbye Yoga "fore ever" nice knowing you !!

Avoid Avoid Avoid
The single worst laptop I've ever owned, usually go for the bigger brands like Asus and acer, buying a new laptop every six months I thought I'd give the yoga 510 A go great value performance seemed good, when I got it home I knew I'd made a grave mistake the fan is disgustingly loud the processor and ram cannot handle more than a couple of apps at a time or the whole computer goes so slow, never will I touch a yoga or for that matter a lenova the performance is terrible, battery life no where near the stated amount I guess due to running the noisiest fan I've ever heard on a laptop,
