Nightfall Coloring Book: Hardcover adult coloring book featuring thick, high-quality paper (Maria Trolle)

I've been coloring for a long time. This book is absolutely beautiful, and the pictures are gorgeous. There are some with a black background, which I like. And the pictures are unique. The only complaint I have is that the colors run through to the page behind it. I would suggest a piece of paper under the picture. I find a piece of construction paper works well. Other than that it's a wonderful book, and it's hardcover, which is a great feature.

If you are looking for florals, birds, little forest spirits, and other woodland creatures to color than Maria Trolle should be one of the illustrators on your list to color. Her illustrations are gorgeous and to make things even better that paper in these books is wonderful. It holds up well to water mediums and I have even had success in using watercolor without any bleed through! I find myself constantly coming back to color in these books because the illustrations speak to me, but also because of the experience. I don't have to worry so much about what I use and if it's going to bleed through or destroy the paper!

Love all the hardcover coloring books by Maria Trolle. Beautiful assortment of pictures to color. Im using a large set of over 500 colored pencils i bought here on Amazon, and it's really fun picking out colors for the pictures in this book! Would make a nice gift.

I pre-ordered this book because I already had Maria Trolle’s previous coloring book, Twilight Garden and I like it so much. Nightfall doesn’t disappoint. All drawings are whimsical, some with black background and some not. There’s something for everyone. Floral motifs, little girls and fairies, the cutest animals and butterflies. Intricate, detailed drawings and others with less and bigger subjects. I would dare say I like this book better than Maria’s first one. Paper is substancial, grabs coloring pencils pigment easily and gel pens won’t bleed. I didn’t try alcohol markers yet but I’m sure it will bleed and you wouldn’t want to ruin the beautiful drawing that’s on the other side of the page. I prefer hardcover coloring books like this one. As far as having difficulty coloring the drawing on spreads when close to the binding, I can work around it and I don’t mind. The lines of the drawings are of a good thickness too and that makes coloring easier for me since thin lines sometimes get confusing or lead one to color outside the subject. In the last pages of this book you’ll find a Plant Register so you get to know the names of all the flowers and plants you’re coloring. I truly recommend this coloring book if you want to transport yourself to another dimension and dream away.

They have so many details in the pictures. What makes them different is some of the pictures have interesting things in it. Most books like this one has to many flowers upon flowers in most of the pages. I bought it for the small imagery and the small animals. I like the picture of the plant holding up the 3 houses, girls in a tree, the owls, mouse in a nest, the forest scene with tiny creatures and the black pages. Something a little different from the Hanna Karlzon books. J

This book is beautiful!! It’s the first non Johanna Basford book I’ve bought, and I love it!! The book is very very well made, the paper is perfect for pencils, the colors lay down very smoothly, which makes blending them even easier, and gel pens don’t bleed through. The lines of each drawing are very thick making it easier to keep up with which part of the picture you’re working on. It’s a hard cover, which I love, you don’t have to worry about the binding falling apart cause it’s very sturdy. One other thing I found super helpful is that in the very back of the book there is a list of all flowers on each page, which makes it super easy to look up and get color inspiration from. I can’t say enough good things about how this book is made. The pictures themselves are beautiful, I love the drawings in them, every picture in the book is beautiful, it’s a great coloring book for anyone from beginners, to experts

Gorgeous!!!! I wish it was one sided though. However, I don’t think I would ever rip any of the pages out of it. And the pages are super thick so there’s no bleed through.

Lange habe ich das neueste Buch von Maria Trolle ersehnt und es wurde nun endlich geliefert! Ich bin ein großer Fan der Maria Trolle Bücher und wurde auch bei diesem nicht enttäuscht! Es enthält wunderbare Illustrationen, die meisten mit weißem Hintergrund und insgesamt 10 Seiten mit schwarzem Hintergrund. Die Blumen/Pflanzen sind authentisch und man findet im Anhang auch die genaue Bezeichnung dazu. Ebenfalls zu den gezeichneten Insekten und Vögeln! Das Papier ist wieder wunderbar gewählt, hat eine gute Stärke. Ich freue mich sehr, es nun colorieren und zum Leben erwecken zu können

Hermosa pasta, es dura y los filos de las hojas doradas. Las ilustraciones son muy lindas y el calibre de las hojas es alto, por lo que puedes pintar con casi lo que sea sin miedo a que se trapase.

Great value at under £10. This book is beautifully made and feels really special to handle. The hardback cover opens fully so no bits of designs hard to work on and it provides a firm surface if you are working without a table or tray of some kind. The paper is slightly textured yet still silky, and a good thickness so a minimum of transfer on to pages under where you're working. Outlines are not too thick on the white paper designs. The dark pages dotted through the book are gorgeous to colour. I have never really enjoyed colouring dark background designs but these have totally changed my mind. All the designs are beautiful and none too intricate to work on unlike many books. A couple are slightly more childish but not overly so. Maybe nice to share the colouring book with a younger family member too. Have to confess to immiately buying two more of this collection within 24 hours of geting this one. No regrets, they are equally gorgeous. I've only had this book a few days and completed 8 of the designs. A very relaxing and enjoyable way to pass spare time.
